Facility Maintenance Manager
The Giorgi Companies, Inc. is a diversified consumer products company with approximately 2,000 employees. We have an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Facility Maintenance Manager at our Giorgi Mushroom facility. Individual will be responsible for managing the day to day operation at multiple facilities/locations.
· Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
· Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
· Supports General Facility Safety and Food Safety.
· Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
· Compile and review operational records, such as time and production, inventory data, repair and maintenance records.
· Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
· Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment and replacement parts.
· Proactively identify improvement focus areas/activities through data analysis
· Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation, and monitoring departmental expenditures.
· Meet with vendors and suppliers, review; evaluate coordinate completion of outside maintenance work.
· Identify potential cost savings and cost avoidance.
· Utilize and maintain electronic maintenance programs and computer information management systems.
Education/Training:
· High School education or equivalent required. Technical School or College degree preferred.
· 10+ years' building and equipment maintenance experience with a minimum of 5+ years' of supervisory experience required.
· Preventive maintenance programs knowledge strongly desired.
· Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with all levels of personnel.
· Must have the ability to provide hands on leadership and contribute directly to the overall success of the organization.
· Knowledge of plumbing, electric and hydraulics needed.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.
