Question types

All questions are worth 1 point.

Multiple choice

A multiple choice question will display question text followed by answer options. Each answer option has a radio button alongside it, and only one selection per question can be made. Users can score either one or zero points per question. Selecting the correct answer option will result in one point scored.

Checkboxes

A checkbox question will display question text followed by answer options. Each answer option has a checkbox alongside it. The user can select as many checkboxes as they wish. Users can score either one or zero points per question. Selecting all of the correct answer options will result in one point scored. Any other combination of selected answer options will result in zero points scored.

Numerical input

A numerical input question will display question text followed by a text entry box for the user to enter a number into. Tolerance can be applied to each numerical input question, meaning users can input any answer in a given range, however, this is not the case with all numerical input questions and sometimes the user is required to enter an exact value. Users can score either one or zero points per question. Entering the correct number, or a number within the answer range will result in one point scored. Any number outside this range will result in zero points scored.

Multiple response matching

A multiple response matching question is a single question that is made up of many multiple choice questions. Questions are worth one point each, and to score one point, users must get all of the multiple choice questions contained correct. The total weight of the question point is distributed equally between the amount of multiple choice questions contained within the single question. For example, if a multiple response matching question contains four questions, and the user answers three of the four correctly, they will be awarded 0.75 points for that question.
