Our 6-a-side Summer Tournament will be held over the weekend of Saturday 7th and Sunday 8thJune 2014, and we invite entries from your club at any age group from Under 7 to Under 17 inclusive. Following the success of last year’s Ladies competition we are running this again, where the minimum age for players in this category is 16 or over, and we would welcome any entries in this section from your club.
This year’s tournament will once again be held at the Sir Herbert Leon Academy, Bletchley.
The entry fee will be £35 per team and to reserve your place in one of the most popular fixtures in the summer soccer calendar, please complete and return the attached entry form to me at the address shown.
The squad size is limited to 9 players and the restriction on the number of guest players i.e. those who were not signed to your club for the current season, remains at 2 players per squad. No Academy or Centre of Excellence players under contract are allowed in the squad.
The format of the event will be similar to previous years with Under 7 and 8’s playing a non-competitive round robin series of matches with all players receiving a commemorative medal of their day with us. Older age groups will compete in group games, leading to either a Cup or Plate knock-out tournament. As always, it will guarantee a full day of football for all the players.
A wide range of food and drink will be available with lots of other activities to ensure a great day out for all the family. We look forward to welcoming your players, officials, supporters and parents to MK Wanderers in June for what promises to be a fabulous festival of football.
