Purpose Statement:
Extreme.com is looking for enthusiastic, creative and driven candidate seeking experience working within the world of action sports media. As part of the roll, the candidate will be responsible for sourcing and uploading engaging action sports content to the site, communicating with key brands and athletes and utilising social media to drive traffic.

Main Responsibilities:
As part of the roll, the candidate would be responsible under the guidance of the portal editor:
  • For sourcing and uploading interesting and engaging action sports content to the site
  • Communicating with key brands and athletes
  • Utilizing social media to drive traffic and unique users
  • Responding to emails from viewers/users
Knowledge/Skill:
  • Good all round computing skills
  • Knowledge of social networking sites and useability an advantage
  • Above all they need to be versatile and keen to take on a wide variety of challenges given to them
  • They should be self-motivated and resourceful, have a sense of humour
  • Applicant should have a keen interest in extreme sports, and the broadcasting and media world, and the confidence to interact with other members of the extreme sports community, on an industry and grass-roots level.
Alongside these duties, candidates will be encouraged to develop their own ideas and where possible, create unique content for the site.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Strong communication
  • Computing skills – you need to be computer literate, Microsoft Office and Photoshop preferable
  • Interest in writing, photography and videography
  • Understanding of internet based technologies
  • Be a user of, and are knowledgeable of social networking sites
  • Ability to upload content to sites e.g. You Tube, or have knowledge of a working CMS system
  • Knowledge of, and a keen interest in action sports

Key Measures:
  • Demonstrate knowledge and a passion for action sports
  • Source and publish 15 high quality videos per day
  • Ensure the each key sport channel receives at least 2 updates per day
  • Produce engaging daily news articles, interviews.
  • Promote content creatively on social networks
  • Increase online traffic by 20%

Working Relationships and Team Working:
You will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the online editor and online manager of the extreme.com website. Also interacting with all other departments in the company to understand the structure and working relationship of the company – marketing, programming, finance, business development sales and on air.
