MOLE Day - Extra Credit Opportunities
Directions: You may choose from the following options for your project. They are all related to the mole concept. You may complete as many projects as you like, but you will only receive a maximum of 3 points on your 9-week average. If your project is inferior, you will not receive the maximum number of points!
Due Date: We will celebrate Mole Day on Monday, October 23. All projects must be turned in by Friday, October 20th.
EXCEPTIONS to due date:
Option 1 – Wear your shirt on mole day
Option 4 – Bring your dessert on mole day
Option 1 – Mole Day T-Shirt (up to 3 points)
Design and wear a t-shirt for mole day. You must wear it all day to get credit. The shirt must have an original mole theme, Avogadro’s number, and the date of mole day this year (10/23/16).
Option 2 – Mole Day Poster (up to 3 points)
Design a poster to promote mole day. Neatness and creativity will be used to judge your work. The poster must have an original mole theme, Avogadro’s number, and the date of mole day this year.
Option 3 – Design and Build a Theme Mole (up to 3 points)
Get a mole pattern from me. Use the pattern to build a mole out of fabric, felt, or any other material. Put him/her in a costume of your choice. Include a theme name. (Frankenmole, Supermole, etc.)
Option 4 – Mole Dessert (up to 3 points)
Bake a cake or cookies. Use icing to decorate the dessert with a theme to promote mole day. Neatness and creativity will be used to judge your work. The dessert must have an original mole theme, Avogadro’s number, and the date of mole day this year.
