Existing Trail Projects That Have Been Approved

Great Meeting on Tuesday November 27. Total of 16 people showed up.We touched on numerous issues regarding COPMOBA Grand Valley Canyons Chapter.
Updated/Discussed Items
-Membership Cards-Approved by board and scheduled to be delivered in Spring 2013
- Maintanence on Trails-Continue Maintanence Nights in Spring 2013. Make use of comment section on website for members to share areas of need.
-BLM Bangs Canyon New Trail Proposal Public Comment Period-COPMOBA Local Chapter response. Desire to see new trails and suggested that we encourage all members to respond. Thanks Landon for getting out email on 11/28/12 asking area riders for comment.

-Trail Project Update and Wish List for new Trails. Looking at the COPMOBA inventory of trails it shows that we have approved trails left to build in the area for the next 2-3 years, and since it takes anywhere from 1-10 years to go from trail suggestion to completion we looked at our existing projects and then put out a open suggestion for new trail wishes. Out of the 16 people that attended we had 22 new trail ideas. Very fun and lively discussion. We posted all trails individually and had attending members select 5 possible trails to determine the groups priority and need. See attached spreadsheet of trails and short description, how many voted and who suggested it.

Existing Trail Projects that have been approved:

-NFD 18 Rd Lower Joes/Trail B-Completed Fall/Winter 2012

-Grand Mesa-Mesa Top to Flowing Park-Currently under Construction with hopeful completion 2014

-Three Sisters - Started Fall 2012 and on going through 2014

-Grand Mesa-County Line to Skyway Trail-Start after Mesa Top is completed
-Grand Mesa-Crane Lake-Connector from Carson Lake Trail to Flowing Park-after Mesa Top in Completed

-Kokopellis-Marys Loop Extension on Front Side Single Track-Start date is pending a project leader and funding.

-NFD 18 Rd-Sarlacc/Peekaboo-Currently under Construction with a hopeful completionn of Fall 2013

-Kokopelli-Wrangler to Moore Fun-Start date is pending a project leader and funding

-Tabagauch-Top of Pete-n-Kees to Fin Rock-Start date is pending a project leader and funding.

Projects that are on the table for pending approval:

-Bangs Canyon Area-Waiting on BLM approval

-Tim Sewell Memorial Trail-Lunch Loop Area-Funding is there and need to decided where to place it.
