Absent Excused: Tessa Chalmers

Others Present: Jasmine Muir (President’s Mentee) and Eric Gillis (SRA representative)

ANNOUNCEMENTS & REPORTS

  1. General Housekeeping - (President)

-November issue of newsletter will be out soon.

-Send any last minute events to Michael.

  1. Teamwork - (President)

-Exec should help one another with events/ ticket sales/ etc.

-Encouraged to help with upcoming Casbah event ticket distribution.

  1. Casbah Concert Ticket Sales - (President)

-Ticket sales will be sold this Wednesday to Friday (this week)

-KTH lobby

-$5 per ticket

-Busses available to pick up and drop off students to the event.

-Students need to sign waivers.

  1. Fall Preview Summary - (President)

-Not as successful as planned (due to rain, etc.)

-Difficult to encourage students to come to KTH lobby once they were in MUSC.

-Start brainstorming ideas for next fall preview in Nov.

  • Making it more interactive
  1. Year Rep Update - (VP Programming)

-Four new 1st year reps have been chosen

  • Kaitlyn Avery, ChriselleVaz, IradaAskarova and Samuel Tunji-Ajayi

-Events this month (Nov):

  • Coffeehouse (Nov 4: 7-11pm)
  • Cashbah concert (Nov 6: 8pm-2am)
  • Cooking class (Nov 9: 11am-1pm)
  • Connor and SRA: University Grad Fair (Nov 20: 1-4pm)
  • Ryan: Charity Bowling Night – Splitsville (Nov 25: 8-10pm)
  • Yoga Destressor with Tessa in December
  1. New SocSci Dean - (President)

-Jerry Hurley

-Scheduling a meeting with him to meet Exec

  1. Course Evals Campaign - (VP Academic)

-Other faculty profs need more information regarding event.

  • To shift students perspective from negative to positive.

-Six faculty profs from SocSci will be filmed.

-MSU going to make one poster + one cover photo for event (one photo and shading them in different faculty colors).

  1. EE/SSC Report Summary - (VP Academic)

-For SocSci, EE/ SSC services do not overlap

-SocSci gravitates to SSC for career clinics

  • Career counselling, job fairs, etc.

-EE more specific towards careers (ie. Placements, job shadows, etc.)

-100-200 students using EE, 500 students using SSC.

  1. Planner Applications Released - (President)

-Encouraging Exec to share on social media

-Tessa will use Hootsuite

-Applications by 4pm Nov 6

  1. General Assembly Intros/Slides - (President)

-This Wed, 5-6:30pm, BSB 106

-SRA encouraged to come and represent

-Exec will give brief intros

-Slides about any events of campaigns send to Michael

  • Jazmine and Michael will work on slideshow

  1. Constitution Review - (President)

-Message Tim regarding constitution

-Tim, Gabe and Michael look through the constitution

  • Finance section
  • Creating more by-laws
  • Gabe email Tim for a meeting next week
  1. Clubs Reminder GA - (VP Finance)

-Allan remind clubs to attend GA meeting on Wed
