Convened at the Grand Prairie Public Safety Building, 1525 Arkansas Lane, Grand Prairie TX 75052

Attendance: Joe Tarrant - President, Kristy Gilbert – 1st Vice-President, Mitch Vaughn – 2nd Vice-President, Chau Nguyen - Treasurer, Richard Dickirson – Region 2, Bob Addison, Carol Addison

1433 – Meeting Called to Order by Joe Tarrant

Minutes: Reviewed minutes from General Meeting October 08, 2017.

·  Motion to approve by K. Gilbert, 2nd by R. Dickirson to approve as presented.

·  Motion Passed

Treasurer Report: Presented by C. Nguyen.

·  $750 Deposited from the Conference on merchandise and ticket sales.

·  Need to get the membership money and member list from the Conference.

·  Working on the 501(c)(3) status now that elections are done and will submit the by-laws as currently written.

C. Nguyen thanked J. Tarrant for his support and will get all in order and get everything up to date to present the organization as a non-profit once again.

1st Vice-President: K. Gilbert said ready for a great year and let’s get this party started.

2nd Vice-President: M. Vaughn stated need to start getting the minutes of the meetings according to the By-Laws and all other items as stated within.

Parliamentarian: Vacant - Received an email from Dick in LaGrange regarding being a possible candidate for Parliamentarian and wanted to know what is going on with the new board. Need to look at membership list once received to determine who is and who is not a member.

Regional Updates: Only one Region currently filled, represented by R. Dickirson and nothing new progressed. J. Tarrant stated that there needs to be more outreach to other Regions, so they are aware of the organization but need the 501(c)(3). C. Nguyen stated we need more help for R. Dickirson to get others involved and he offered to assist.

C. Nguyen stated need to start reaching out to raise money for TCOPA and K. Gilbert indicated that there was a solicitation letter at one time. Need to look into regenerating and be prepared to send out once the 501(c)(3) reinstatement is received.

J. Tarrant stated that Jerry Beck has stepped down from the By-Laws Committee due to personnel reasons but will help if possible.

2018 Conference: M. Vaughan stated that there were 2018 views and 6 shares from the Facebook post. Conference is July 12th thru 15th. Requested that we ask GP City Councilman Jeff Copeland to be the auctioneer at the conference Saturday 7-14-2018 between 1830 and 1900 with 1 guest and maybe hotel too.

Motion to adjourn by K. Gilbert and 2nd by R. Dickirson. All confirmed.
