Essential Criteria
Qualifications / Degree qualified
GCSE English at B grade or above, or equivalent
Experience & Skills / Previous experience in a professional environment, of providing project support to include using systems and liaising with colleagues
Ability to prioritise and plan effectively, adopting a logical and methodical approach in order to meet tight deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills, to a high business standard which will enable the postholder to communicate with confidence and clarity during online web conferences and teleconferences with non-English mother tongue clients and BDO teams across the globe
Personal Attributes / Team player with strong work ethic and ability to adapt to change
Proven ability to deliver high quality results
Attention to detail in preparing all work
Desirable Criteria
Qualifications / Prince 2 Certification
Degree qualified with a relevant discipline of a business and/or finance subject(s)
Experience & Skills / Accounting experience in a shared service centre to aid understanding of client operations (noting that this is a project management focused role, and not accountancy focused)
Intermediate/working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Selection process

Following the completion of shortlisting against the criterion outlined above, the selection process, for shortlisted candidates is:

  • Telephone interview with BDO LLP and BDO Northern Ireland
  • Face-to-face interview in BDO Northern Ireland’s Belfast City Centre offices

Training and Development

Training and development and induction for this role will be facilitated across the BDO Belfast and UK office in Reading, during the first few weeks of employment (typically 2 weeks in Reading). During this time, BDO will provide travel and subsistence costs.

Support for Prince 2 Training will be provided when appropriate.
