Church #5

I was thinking about the things that shape us, the things we really believe besides the basics of the Gospel. They are the things that shape our ministry here...think these through.

THINGS WE REALLY BELIEVE:

Love in action is the most important thing we do (for God and His people).

Working without praying is playing God.

Praying without dedicated, consistent stewardship of abilities and resources is ungrateful presumption.

Authenticity is essential for true relationship with God and people. You have to BE the truth before you can SHARE the truth.

Relevance to our culture is not optional.

The Arts are an essential part of learning, communicating, and understanding in our culture.

Real life change happens best in the context of loving relationships--COMMUNITY.

When we have Christ’s perspective, we work equally to preserveunity and celebrate diversity.

God’s work is best accomplished through team: many gifts are better than one.

Healthy persons make a healthy church.

God’s goal is redemption of the whole person.

Growth is the natural result of health.

Godly gratitude is a primary motivation for growth, and a primary result of growth.
