The Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 7th May 2014 at 7.30pm at The Reading Room, Main Street, Ewerby.

The Parish Council representatives were elected en block; names of the other trustees were noted
Minutes of the Meeting held on 5th February 2014
Minutes were read and signed as being a true record after the correction of Concillor Hallawell’s name.
Matter arising from the minutes.
i) Hedges: The Manor House had complied with our request.
The Dower House - Councillor Scott to follow up.
Ewerby Thorpe had been cut by contractors.
ii) Precept - surplus monies put on next agenda.
iii) Playing field – The clerk reported a complaint that the area was not kept in good enough condition for playing football.
Risk Assessment Review
The review was adopted and is to be confirmed with the external auditors.
Accounts for Year Ended 31st March2014
The accounts had been circulate by the chairman prior to the meeting. The Chairman explained the accounts and noted that the Fixed Assets had increased due to the increase in the value of the Parish Council’s landholding.

Councillors agreed there were no objections to all the applications
Playing Field.
No progress on lease.
Correspondence.
The Chairman outlined the Council’s Insurance Policy. The Premium is due on 1st June 2014 in the sum of £477. It was agreed to renew on this basis.
Any Other Business.
The Chairman proposed a vote of thanks to Councillor Priestley for removing the rubbish from the Pinfold and also to Mr Lister-Tomlinson for winding the church clock so efficiently. Unanimous agreement
The Cemetery wall has collapsed. Councillor Scott to investigate.
Councillors reported a large pothole on the Asgarby Road.
