System Requirements

Operating System: Windows XP or Windows 7 (32 bit or 64 bit)

Microsoft Office Excel (2007 or newer)

Must have your own USB download cable

Software Installation Instructions

  1. Go to Medline.com
  2. In the search bar on the top right hand corner of the website, search item number MPH1540.
  3. Click the main EvenCare Glucose icon.
  4. Click the Multimedia tab.
  5. Click on the “EvenCare Control Reporting Software.exe” link found on Medline.com.
  1. Click “Run” on the pop up. The software begins to download. Multiple screens will pop up;alwaysclick“Next” through the installation. Click “Finish” when complete, and wait for a new installation screen.

  1. A new installation screen will show to download the USB to Serial driver. Multiple screens will pop up;always click “Next” through the installation screens. Click “Finish” when complete. (Note: The software will NOT open on its own you must follow the rest of the instructions in order to use the software.)

  1. Before using the software you MUSTplug in theUSB download cable into the USB drive on your computer. (Do not plug in the meter, only the USB download cable.)
  1. Once the USB download cable is plugged in, the computer will automatically install device driver software. You must wait until the computer shows the pop up “Device Driver Software Successfully Installed”before moving to the next step.
  1. Now, open the control reporting software by double clicking the icon on your desktop. Once the software is opened, it will show “Comport Connected!”on the screen.
  1. Power on the EvenCare G2 meter by holding down the center button for about 3 seconds.
  1. Enter the PC setting by pressing the center button once, to display main menu. Next, press the right up arrowto select the PC Link icon. Press the center buttonto select the PC Link icon. (You will know if you have selected thePC Link icon because the PC Link Icon will start flashing and will show“PC”)
  1. Plug the USB download cable into the serial port on the meter.
  1. In the software, choose start and end date ranges you want to download.
  1. Click “Upload Data.” (The data upload may take a couple of minutes.)
  1. Once data has been uploaded, the screen in the upper left hand corner will show

“Upload finished.”

  1. Click on Output Excel or Output PDF, name your file, and save the report to your desktop.
  1. To upload other meters, unplug the current meter, put new meter in PC mode, plug USB download cable into meter.
  1. Click “Upload data.” Export data as desired.
