Other ways you can help:

1.We are asking for donations of candy and cookies (it would be helpful if cookies came prepackaged 2 -5 per bag) to be brought to the church by Friday February 5th or before 9am on February 7th.

2. Sunday school parents are invited Sunday, February 7th starting at 9am to help pack the sweet treats into boxes while their children are in Sunday school.

We look forward to working with you on this fun mission project. Any questions please contact Darlene Nagel or Marla Baer.

HOLY COW it's time to start thinking about the EvUCC ice cream booth at the Schweizerfest this summer! The Christian Education board is currently seeking volunteers to form a committee to set-up and coordinate our Holy Cow ice cream stand. If you feel a need to serve but don't want to be committed to anything long-term, this is the committee for you! Please contact Lynn Rivas r618-339-0804or Amy Kreher r618-567-9872.

Men’s Breakfast – Our next breakfast will be Saturday, February 13 at 8:00 at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Highland. Kay Ahaus will speak to us about: “How Green Is Your Footprint? Inventory of Personal/Household Carbon Footprint”. In light of the conversation happening in our world regarding climate change this is a very timely discussion. It promises to be interesting and engaging. If you are interested in attending please contact the church office. Hope to see you there!

Still Available - Wee Care Cook Books! - You have not missed your opportunity to purchase our custom made Wee Care Day Care Cook Books. Each book is only $10 and is chocked full of scrumptious recipes from our day care families. Pick yours up in the Narthex today!

The Women’s Guild will meet on February 2 at 1 p.m. After a short business meeting, we will be going to the Highland Home where we will visit with residents, play bingo and serve an ice cream treat. We will also be able to view the changes made to the home in the last year. Won’t you join us as we entertain the residents and see the improvements made to the home? Remember, it was the Frauenverein, now the Women’s Guild, who held a coffee on October 4, 1896 and raised $81.15, which was the seed money for the establishment of the Home. We hope to see you on the 2nd. The Guild Board will meet on Feb. 2 at 12:00.
