Evaluation of Work Performance and Technical Abilities

Part of being a good technician is being able to work effectively in a team, and this form is designed to help you achieve that goal. In fact, this evaluation was adopted from several evaluation forms used by companies in our area that hire biotechnicians from the ACC Biotechnology program.

This form is posted in the laboratory prep room for you to review, and is handed out to be discussed by your instructor at the beginning of the semester. At the end of the semester, the instructor will fill-out the form based on your performance, and give it to you to review. If you feel that the instructor did not make the proper evaluation, you should ask to discuss it with the instructor. The form will then be placed in your file to be reviewed with the other evaluations before you are assigned an internship. Your grade in each course does not depend on this evaluation; however, usually the better student also demonstrates the better “work ethic”. We hope that you take this evaluation seriously, we do and so does the industry.
