EuroShop 2014: A Win for EGGER and Designers
With a positive look back at the trade fair, the wood-based material manufacturer EGGER presents the winners of its TrendSpot contest.
EGGER presented its new decors and surfaces in the ZOOM Collection with a cubic landscape at the EuroShop trade fair in Düsseldorf. Three case studies by architects also appeared on the exhibition stand. Having emerged as the winners of the international TrendSpot contest, they were presented at the EGGER exhibition stand.
In the course of the TrendSpot campaign, EGGER called on architects and fabricators around the world to submit their best projects using materials from the ZOOM Collection for online voting. Jovana Zivkovic from Serbia, Martin Klapka from Austria and Alexia Sanchez from France emerged as winners in the “Architects” category. They were invited by EGGER to present their projects at EuroShop. Heike Kiesling, Managing Director Marketing Furniture and Interior Design EGGER Group, congratulated the winners: “The numerous international projects submitted for our TrendSpot contest illustrated the wide variety of application possibilities supported by our ZOOM decors and coreboards. These reference projects also serve as a source of inspiration for new designs. I am pleased that we are able to present the three winning projects to the large trade fair audience here.”
Youthful Winery
The freelance architect Jovana Zivkovic from Vranje (Serbia) furnished the “Aleksic” winery. She developed a modern and youthful concept for the project that suits the young owners, and placed great emphasis on establishing a unique selling proposition for the Serbian vineyard. For the design of the tasting area on the ground floor and the maturing area in the upper storey, she used melamine faced Eurodekor boards, laminate, ABS edging and Eurolight lightweight building boards with the Fino Bronze (F583 ST22), Woodline Cream (H1424 ST22) and Sand Zebrano (H3006 ST22) decors.
Ambiance for Vienna Ball Fashions
Martin Klapka of the shop fitter Storebest from Aschach an der Steyr (Austria) was recognised for the interior fixtures of a “Balina Joppich” branch in Vienna. A stylish and elegant design was wanted for the store with an area of 370 m2 (3,983 square feet) for bridal gowns, ball and evening fashions and accessories. Storebest assumed responsibility for the entire shop fitting project from planning to installation. The ZOOM decors Premium White (W1000 ST9) and Dust Grey (U732 ST15) on Eurodekor boards and laminates made it possible to create the perfect ambiance.
Quiet Meetings in Lyon
The new conference room of the company Solvay in Lyon (France) was kept simple and calm. With a large conference table and a creative presentation wall, the architect Alexia Sanchez of the Axial design office created a bright and welcoming environment. Designing the conference room for varying numbers of participants was a special requirement of the customer. Axial accomplished this with four flexible room dividers and a coherent design concept for different areas. Here designer Alexia Sanchez used the decors Platinum White (W980 SM), Horizon (U522 ST15) and Light Ferrara Oak (H1334 ST9) on Eurodekor boards and laminates.
While these three architects were rewarded with prominent exhibition space at the EGGER exhibition stand, the winners in the “Fabricator” category were awarded professional photo shoots.
Satisfied with the EuroShop Presentation
EGGER was very satisfied with the number of visitors and the response to the trade fair presentation under the motto “Experience the difference” at EuroShop. Hubert Höglauer, Managing Director Marketing EGGER Group, had this to say: “We succeeded in establishing a variety of new contacts and appreciated the creative and international style of the trade fair. The concept of presenting 20 new decors and six new textures in our ZOOM Collection, experienced through the senses, was a success. The new 2014 ZOOM introductions are intended to inspire architects, planners and designers to create new designs and we are already looking forward to seeing what they are going to do.”
