EX10 All-Environment Camera
A&E Specifications – version 1.0

The all-environment camera shall consist of an injection-molded nylon housing, day-night mechanical filter CCD and lens.

The physical attributes of the camera shall meet the following design and performance specifications:

1.1  The camera housing shall be constructed of injection-molded nylon.

1.2  The camera shall have an environmentally sealed, insulated enclosure system.

1.3  The camera shall consist of non-corroding materials for durable use in outdoor, corrosive environments.

1.4  The camera housing shall be a sealed unit, capable of operation in harsh weather conditions.

1.5  The camera housing shall have an insulated inner chamber, eliminating the requirement for an internal heater or blower.

1.6  The camera housing shall be weatherproof and dustproof.

1.7  The camera housing shall be corrosion resistant.

1.8  The camera housing shall be water resistant.

1.9  The camera housing shall have an integral sunhood / rainshield.

1.10  The camera shall have a screw-clamp cable entry to ensure a watertight seal.

1.11  The camera shall be equipped with a desiccant pack to control internal humidity.

1.12  The camera shall have an operational temperature range of -60ºC to +60ºC or -76ºF to 140ºF.

1.13  The camera shall have overall dimensions of 5.2” x 3” or 132mm x 76mm.

1.14  The camera shall weigh 0.8 lbs or 375g

1.15  The camera shall be certified to CSA Type 6.

1.16  The camera shall be certified to CSA C22.2 No 0-M1991.

1.17  The camera shall be certified to CSA C22.2 No 1-M94.

1.18  The camera shall be certified to CSA C22.2 No 94-M91.

1.19  The camera shall be certified to UL Std No 50.

1.20  The camera shall be certified to UL Std No 2044.

The CCD module shall meet or exceed the following design and performance specifications:

2.1  The camera shall use DSP signal processing for enhanced edge definition and detail reproduction.

2.2  The camera shall have a 2:1 interlaced scanning system.

2.3  The camera shall be an LXR type 1/3” CCD for excellent IR sensitivity, low smear, low streak and excellent anti-blooming characteristics.

2.4  The camera shall have automatic, day-night switching.

2.5  The camera shall have a motorized mechanical filter with IR-cut and IR-pass windows to optimise day and night performance respectively.

2.6  The camera shall have daytime color mode.

2.7  The camera shall have daytime color resolution of 550 horizontal lines.

2.8  The camera shall have a minimum illumination for daytime color mode of 0.02Lux at F1.4.

2.9  The camera shall have night-time monochrome mode.

2.10  The camera shall have night-time monochrome resolution of 570 horizontal lines.

2.11  The camera shall operate at zero lux in night-time monochrome mode when used with appropriate infrared illuminators.

2.12  The camera shall produce outstanding contrast characteristics for reduced glare and streaking.

2.13  The camera design shall minimize the possibility of focus shift to ensure accurate focus for a daytime average wavelength of 500nm and a night-time average wavelength of 850nm.

2.14  The camera shall produce accurate color representation by eliminating IR bleed and/or other color distortions.

2.15  The camera shall have spectral response to infrared wavelengths between 700nm to 1100nm.

2.16  The camera shall produce a signal to noise ratio of greater than 48dB (AGC off).

2.17  The camera shall use automatic gain control (AGC) to produce clear images by minimizing the fluctuations caused by video signals that are too strong or too weak.

The camera shall have the following operational design and performance specifications

3.1  The camera shall operate in extreme weather conditions.

3.2  The camera shall operate with high reliability.

The camera shall have the following electrical design and performance specifications:

4.1  The camera shall be energy efficient.

4.2  The camera shall have a voltage regulator board (VRB) to protect the camera from electrical spikes and excessive voltage.

4.3  The voltage regulator board (VRB) shall be installed inside the environmental enclosure.

4.4  The voltage regulator board (VRB) shall provide reverse polarity protection.

4.5  The camera shall consume no more than 1.4 watts maximum.

The camera shall have a range of options and accessories available for specific mounting and operational considerations:

5.1  The camera shall have an optional U-type Bracket: BRKU10

5.2  The camera shall have an optional 120 VAC / 12 VDC, 500 mA power supply: EXPS.002.
