TORONTO, CANADA – With the exciting world release of Solid State Logic’sDuende System, SSL has entered into agreement with HHB Communications Canada to distribute the system to the Canadian market. Duende delivers the legendary DSP performance of SSL’s industry standard consoles to the workstation environment. HHB predicts brisk sales of this latest SSL package for the project/home studio environment.

Based on the digital technology behind SSL’s C-Series consoles, Duende offers complete integration into the most popular workstation environments with one FireWire connection. The processing blocks appear as VST/AU plug-ins (RTAS support via FXPansion wrapper), including an authentic SSL channel strip with filters, E and G-Series EQ and dynamics processing, as well as the acclaimed SSL Stereo Bus Compressor. Signal processing for Duende takes place in the proprietary SSL rackmount unit offering up to 32 channels of plug-in processing at 48 Hz or 96 kHz. This external processing system eliminates stress on the internal CPU of the host Macintosh computer.
Currently, Duende Systems are available for demo at most major Canadian MI retailers.
