Role Specific accountabilities
  • To lead on the development and implementation of the legacies strategy including in memoriam giving, developing annual plans and budgets in order to grow the legacy prospect and pledger databases to secure future years’ income
  • To develop appropriate, personalised supporter journeys for legacy prospects and pledgers, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding supporter experience
  • To work across fundraising and with other departments to identify and target legacy prospects within the existing supporter base and potential legacy audiences across all of Scope’s networks
  • To act as an advocate for legacy giving by working across the organisation to ensure that the legacy message is communicated effectively including identifying, training and developing internal legacy champions
  • To develop and project manage significant legacy marketing campaigns, including Scope’s annual legacy week ensuring they are on budget, brand and schedule
  • To select and commission agencies and suppliers to deliver against plans and budgets, negotiating contracts and managing and reporting on performance in order to ensure that value is maximised
  • To ensure that our legacy administration is of the highest standard, that the caseload is progressing, income received in a timely fashion and that complex and contentious cases are managed appropriately
  • To undertake month end reporting, including legacy pipeline movements, notification trends, variance analysis and forecasting at campaign, strategy and unit level as required
  • To keep abreast of developments in the external market place in order to identify opportunities and risks to plans and devise and propose opportunistic or contingency action plans accordingly
  • To deputise for the Head of Individual Giving as and when required
