CLASS 1 JUNIOR (PC Level 1) 12 YEARS AND UNDER NOVICE – OPEN TO MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS

Dressage:Introductory Dressage Test 2007; Fences:0.60m ( 2ft approx.)

CLASS 1B NOVICE ANY AGE (PC level 1) - Combination of pony/horse and rider never to have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd at a One Day Event, or to have competed at Area Horse Trials, Gosling Cup, Calvert Cup or registered with British Eventing.

Dressage:Introductory Dressage Test 2007 Fences: 0.60m (2ft approx.)

CLASS 2A INTERMEDIATE (PC level 2)15 YEARS AND UNDER – Combination of pony/horse and rider not to have been placed at Area Intermediate or Open Horse Trials, Gosling Cup or Calvert Cup.

Dressage:Novice Eventing Test 2013 Fences:0.75m (2ft6 Approx)

CLASS 2B INTERMEDIATE ANY AGE (PC Level 2) – Combination of pony/horse and rider not to have been placed at Area Intermediate or Open Horse Trials, Gosling Cup or Calvert Cup.

Dressage:Novice Eventing Test 2013 Fences:0.75m (2ft6 Approx)

CLASS 3 OPEN – Combination not to have won any British Eventing points.

Dressage: Intermediate Eventing Test 2015 Fences: 0.90m (3ft approx.)

ENTRY FEES: £30.00 per class including First Aid (EUPC Members £25.00)

ENTRIES: Entries close on Monday, 27th April 2015. Late entries may be accepted at £5 extra per class.

Dressage times: Dressage times will be given by telephone request (01245 400324) on Wednesday 29th April 2015 from 8 p.m. to 9 pm and will be on the website from that day onwards, however if you are unable to compete you need to contact the above number as there will be a waiting list and if your place can be taken full refund will be made. Dressage test sheets can be found on the pony club website www.pcuk.org or contact the secretary.

Awards: Rosettes to 6th place overall and Best Dressage to 6th place. Challenge Trophies to highest placed EUPC members in each class to be presented at the Presentation Evening.

REFRESHMENTS will be available, and FIRST AIDERS will be in attendance.

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.  The organisers (Essex Union Branch of The Pony Club) reserve the right to limit entries, alter or cancel classes and their decision shall be final.

2.  Pony Club Eventing Rules 2015 will be applied – N.B. Medical Armbands are compulsory.

3.  You have to be competent to compete at the level you are riding.

4.  Correct riding dress must be worn at all times when mounted. Jockey skulls must be worn

in accordance with the Pony Club 2015 Hat Rules. A body protector and long sleeves are

compulsory. All P.C. Members must have their hats tagged.

5. No horse/pony under the age of 4 years may compete.

6.  No horse/pony may be ridden more than once in each class.

7.  No horse/pony may compete in more than ONE class.

8.  Mis-use of whip, spurs, stick and rough or dangerous riding may incur elimination.

9.  Entry fees will only be refunded on production of a valid veterinary or doctor’s certificate.

10.  Objections, which should be in writing by the complainant, must be lodged with the Secretary with a £20 deposit within 10 minutes of the posting of the class results. The deposit will only be refunded if the objection is upheld.

11.  THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.

12.  DOGS TO BE KEPT ON A SHORT LEAD AT ALL TIMES

13.  The organiser has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials.

14.  Neither the organiser, nor any person acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness in respect of any competitor, spectator, horse/pony or any other persons or property whatsoever. Participation will be deemed to be acceptance of this condition and all participants agree to indemnify the organisers against any claim arising.

Please note that we rely on volunteers to steward the fences on the day. We thoroughly brief them before the classes, but must take their judgements as final and the committee hope that all competitors will take their decisions in a sporting manner.

N.B. If you are eliminated on the show jumping phase it will be at the judges discretion whether you will be allowed to continue on the cross country course.

Entrance to Downhouse Farm is on the old A130, at Howe Green, approx. 0.7 mile from the A12

when travelling from Chelmsford, and will be signposted.
