This command returns the special project mode used.

Description of the Kiosk “Mouth” functions:

Since release “COLOR_2G_KIOSK_1206.firm” (useonly with flip “0309” or upper) we implemented the management of the mouth sensor to allow an insertion of a card on the flip-over side of the printer.

With the KIOSK, it is recommended to parameter the “Pme”mode in “Pme;1140;960” (default value is “Pme;1440;960”). It allows keeping the card pinched in the flip-over at the end of ejection. So the application can take back the card (see “Sib” command).

When uses the mouth, configure the insertion/ejection mode as : Pmi;M;S

“Rlr;m” command indicate if a card is in the mouth (returns “CARD” or “NO CARD”).

“Sib” allowstaking back a card that is in eject position (if it is pinched in the flip-over).

“Ser” allowssending card in reject box.

“Rse;fm” (“fm” for flip mouth) allow to see the electric state of the mouth sensor.

“Rps;fm” (“fm” for flip mouth) allow to see the value of the potentiometer of the mouth sensor (it can’t be changed).

  • Parameter Use of Mouth Sensor:[ESC]Pums;Par1[CR]

This command allows themanagement of the mouth sensor.

Par1F“Forced”The mouth sensor functioning is forced.

For example it allow to detect a card in the mouth sensor at

power on and eject it before initializing the flip-over.

With a KIOSK printer which uses mouth, it is the preconized

mode.

A“Auto Detect”The mouth sensor functioning is autodetected at power on of

the printer. If sensor is not present or not functional, this feature is

disabled of the process.

In this mode, the user needs to take care to have no card in

themouth at the power on of the printer.

D“Disable”Since version 1311, capability to disable this option

Note: Default mode of the printer is “Auto Detect” (because, actually, the electronic that manages the mouth sensor is not cabled by default on the flip over electronic board).

Note: the Pme parameters are reset when enabling, disabling the mouth.

  • Read Use of Mouth Sensor:[ESC]Rums[CR]

This command returns:

“Forced”If mouth sensor is Forced

"Auto Detect"If mouth sensor is auto detected by the flip at the power on

“Disable”If mouth disabled
