1. Introduction

This document is a template for extended abstracts in Sixth European Conference on Radar in Meteorology and Hydrology – ERAD2010. We think it might be useful to have an extended abstract available during the selection process. It is not mandatory; if your short abstract has been accepted you can send the extended abstract later, until 1 July 2010. The purpose of the template is to help the authors in creating a uniform look of the proceedings. Students applying for prize-competition will have to send an extended abstract.

2. The abstract

You will submit a doc-file. ERAD2010 organizers will try to fix your typos or image layout.

The template is made for Microsoft Word 6.0 and later versions. Maximum length is 6 pages, maximum file size 5 MBs.

You are invited to include a photo of the presenter. This is to facilitate interaction and connection.

3. Helpful hints

3.1 Emergencies

If you cannot use the template available, at least prepare a doc document inone column and Times New Roman 10 pt font. If you cannot use the abstract submission form, contact us

3.2 Images

Feel free to use colour images (with the maximum filesize in mind). It is advisable not to use very thin lines in graphs, but instead dots, dashes or coloured lines.

3.3 Conversion to pdf

If you feel more comfortable sending a pdf file, please use the template and save it as a pdf, but we will not be able to edit it..

4. When your manuscript is ready

1)Check the size of your doc file. It should not exceed 5 MB

2)The file will receive a name (your code) during the submission process of the short abstract.

3)Upload the doc file in the box for extended abstract in submission form at

Fig. 1 Times New Roman 10 points Italic is used for captions.
