The Eventers Challenge is a competition over a mixed course of Show Jumps on the
all-weather surface and Cross Country fences on grass, ridden as a single round. The riders complete the show jumping course of approx 8 fences, then continue on to the XC course of approx 10 obstacles. The winner will be the rider who completes the entire course with the least number of penalties in the show jumping and XC overall, and closest to the optimum XC time.

RULES AND CONDITIONS
Entries: Entries close 5pm Monday 20 March after which any entries received, if space available, will be subject to £5.00 extra per Class.
Please add £5.00 per rider Paramedics cover.
Entries can be made online by visiting www.snowballfarm.co.uk or by post with cheque, payable to Snowball Farm, or credit/debit card details. No email or telephone entries. Only online or postal entries will be accepted. Incomplete entries will not be considered.
**THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY**
Competitors entering Classes 1 and/or 2 may not enter Classes 6 or 7. The Show Secretary must be informed of changes to Horse or Rider at least 20mins before the class start time. Change of Horse and Rider is not allowed.
Clear Round: The show jumping course will be available for clear round jumping for competitors who have completed their Eventers Challenge. £5.00 per round. Tickets from Show Secretary. Priority is given to Eventers Challenge competitors who have been given times. Clear Round may be suspended depending on entries and conditions. Competitors who enter Clear Round Show Jumping only must register with the Show Secretary.
Horse/ponies must be 5yrs or older except for Mini classes where they must be at least 4yrs old.
Ponies must be over 137cm in height. Smaller ponies are allowed but may only enter Classes 1 and 2.
Riders must have attained the age of 10 years by the date of the competition . Points won in BE Events will not apply.
Withdrawals: Those who withdraw in writing before the closing date will have their entry fee, less an admin fee of £4.00 per Class refunded. Entry fees in any other circumstances will not be refunded. All Competitors who withdraw for whatever reason, should inform the Show Secretary on 01628 666222 or by e-mail on .
Times: Times will be given for all Classes. Competitors must ring for times on Wednesday 23 March between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on 07731902105. Or follow links from www.snowballfarm.co.uk/shows after 10.00pm on 23 March. Please note web published times may not include late entries.
Course: The Eventers Challenge course is made up of a combination of approx 8 show jumps and approx 10 cross country obstacles. Riders complete the show jumping course on the all weather surface, then ride straight out onto the cross country course and ride the XC obstacles. The winners will be the competitors with the least number of penalties in the show jumping and XC, and closest to the optimum XC time.
Bibs: Printed numbers will be issued. Please make sure you have your own competition bib with you. Bibs must be worn on top of clothing/body protectors with number showing.
The competition is guided by BE rules.
Warm Up: No-one on foot in the warm-up arena. No leading/lungeing in the small all-weather arena. Anyone asked to leave the warm-up areas by the Steward must do so immediately. Please respect the jump flags. Priority is given to Eventers Challenge competitors. Show Jumping Warm-up can be found in the small all-weather arena, to the rear of the lorry park (depending on conditions).
Correct riding attire must be worn in all classes. Cross Country colours or show jackets are acceptable. Correctly fitted hard hat, manufactured to one of the current safety standards, such as PAS015:2011; with BSI Kite mark, with no fixed brim, and with a three-point linkage properly adjusted and fastened, must be worn at all times when mounted at Snowball Farm. Hair must be kept no longer than collar length. No jewellery. Medical armbands and body protectors must be worn by all those competing.
Box and trailer parking is in the field opposite the Farm. Please abide by any signage. Spectators are welcome but please park in the field opposite the Farm and not in the Farm car park. Please keep children under close supervision. All dogs must be kept on leads (non-extending) at all times.
The ruling of the Judges, Fence Judges, Timekeepers and Stewards is final. A deposit of £15.00 must be lodged prior to an objection (in writing), which will be returned if the objection is upheld.
The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any Class for whatever reason they deem necessary, to disqualify any rider at any stage, to alter the schedule at any time. Should the event be abandoned then a £4.00 admin fee will be retained on all refunds.
No liability shall fall on the Organisers, Landowners, Judges and Officials in respect of any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused and all competitors are deemed to be liable to indemnify the said persons in respect of any such loss, damage or injury.
