EQUATIONS CALENDAR PROJECT
DUE: December 1, 2015
Create a 30-day calendar on poster board- but not just ANY calendar. You will NOT write the date in each box. Instead, you will create an equation calendar whose SOLUTION is the date. For example, an equation for the 15th might be "3x + 12 = x + 42" (the solution is x = 15).
The Guidelines
1. You MUST decorate your calendar (Plain black and white will lose valuable points!).
· At least 5 dates must be two-step equations!
2. Name MUST be on the BACK of the poster.
3. Each equation must be worked AND checked on notebook paper that MUST be taped to the back of the calendar. This work must be NEAT and COMPLETE!! No skipping steps!
4. Must be on REGULAR SIZE poster (do NOT cut or trim!)
5. YOU must create these equations – using problems from a printed or online source is not allowed - it’s plagiarism!
Absolute “NO-NO’S” & Other Items:
1. DO NOT put the date on the front of the calendar – THAT IS THE PURPOSE FOR THE PROBLEM!
2. Make sure it is a TRUE calendar!! Ex: Days in correct order, 7 days per week, etc.
3. DO NOT put your name on the FRONT!!!!
4. DO NOT skip steps on solving or checking.
5. MAKE SURE your equations are neat on the front of the calendar.
6. JUST BECAUSE YOU CONSIDER IT A ONE-STEP OR TWO-STEP DOESN’T MEAN I WILL!
