Episode 48: The House of The Rising Sun
The hanger doors opened beneath Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters and Draco and Michelle flew the Blackbird into the hanger and landed it inside. The team then started to walk off the Blackbird. “Man how is it that we traveled across countries in a lightning bolt last season, yet it took us three episodes to get back to the hanger?” Cobalt asked as he walked off of the Blackbird. “Time lapse for the sake of the episodes?” Titus questionably answered. “Lightning Generating Infrared Heat Transfer cannot be used repeatedly” Draco explained, “If used without cooling down it could cause the generator itself to explode following the engine and would cause a massive contraction that would crush the metal of the Blackbird along with anyone inside of it before transfusing into time and space possibly creating a massive uncontrollable black hole.” “So…bad” Kristie stated. “Yes” Draco answered, “Very bad.” “Or useful” Titus stated. “I don’t see under what circumstances that would be useful” Draco replied. “XBOM” Professor Xavier stated as he wheeled toward them. “Professor” Titus said with a nod, “What brings you out of your office?” “Well” Professor Xavier answered, “It seems-“ “Hey look it’s the Professor!” Bryan said as he whipped past XBOM and then appeared behind Professor Xavier. Bryan then started to run around the Professor. “Is he the one that commands the team?” Bryan asked, “Does he track down the enemies using his telepathic abilities? Has he always been bald? How exactly was he paralyzed again? Are these thrusters on the back of this wheelchair?” “Bryan” Titus said to Bryan. Bryan looked up at Titus, then dashed over to Titus and stood beside him. “New members?” Professor Xavier asked. “Figured it would be good to train some new recruits” Titus answered, “Hope that is ok Professor.” “You are the leader Titus” Professor Xavier replied, “What you decide goes, but beware for you must foresee the consequences that may lie ahead.” “Understood Professor” Titus answered. “So Bryan Rapid” Professor Xavier said as he looked at Bryan, “Freshman, male, mutant ability to speed through time frame by frame. A useful trick.“ “Yeah we covered all this already Xavier” Michelle interrupted, “Trick is getting him to shut up.” “I don’t think she likes me” Bryan whispered to Titus. “We don’t think she likes anyone” Titus whispered back to Bryan. “I know she likes someone man” Cobalt whispered as he leaned toward Titus and Bryan. “Now is not the time dude” Titus whispered back. “And” Professor Xavier continued to say, “Sarah Tophè.” Sarah stepped forward through the members of XBOM so Professor Xavier could see her. “Also a Freshman, female, extraordinary mutant ability to control the Earth’s tectonic plates and move the ground beneath her.” “I’m sorry she can do what?” Cobalt asked. “Control the Earth’s tectonic plates and move the ground beneath her!” Gabby turned and yelled to Cobalt. “No I heard the man Gabby” Cobalt replied, “I was just stating-“ “Just let it go Cobalt” Kristie said as she placed her hand on Cobalt’s shoulder. “I’m still learning how to use it” Sarah stated. “Well we can help with that” Medic replied. “Well way to be holding out on us Sarah” Titus said to Sarah smiling, “Could have used that back at Magneto’s base.” “And how did the attack on Magneto’s base go?” Professor Xavier asked. “Very well” Medic answered. “We successfully took the base down” Kristie stated. “Stopped all construction that was happening there” Cobalt stated. “Which stopped and is currently dropping Magneto’s profits heavily” Draco stated as he looked at a tablet. “We kicked some ass” Michelle stated. “And looked awesome doing it!” Bryan stated. “We didn’t get anything to eat…” Kristie stated. “But we had so much fun!” Gabby stated. “And we brought back a new prisoner” Titus finished stating as he threw Stryker to the ground in front of Professor Xavier.
Stryker began to cough when Titus threw him against the ground, he then looked up at Professor Xavier. “Colonel William Stryker” Professor Xavier said as he looked down at Stryker. “Don’t go by Colonel anymore” Stryker replied as he looked back at the ground. “Well of course not” Professor Xavier answered, “Not after all the tests you have done behind the governments back.” “Haha, they knew” Stryker stated as he spit on the ground, “They just couldn’t have humanity know they were in on it.” “Was he hard to obtain?” Professor Xavier asked looking up at XBOM. “I’ve seen more challenging” Michelle answered. “He wasn’t fast enough” Bryan said and then laughed, “Get it, cause I’m a speedster.” “He was nothing we couldn’t handle” Titus stated as he held his hand out quieting Bryan. “Good” Professor Xavier replied, “Because I have another mission for you.” “But we just got back” Kristie said, “And like I said before I have not eaten anything.” “There is food and refreshments on the Blackbird Kristie” Professor Xavier stated. “I already ate all of that on the last few missions” Kristie explained. “There are refills Draco knows about in the storage area of the Blackbird” Professor Xavier stated. “She…already found the refills” Draco answered. Professor Xavier sighed, “I will get Scott to put more food on the Blackbird for you” Professor Xavier explained. “Thank you Professor” Kristie replied as she began to board the Blackbird, “I’ll be asleep on the Blackbird if you need me. Wake me up when we’re ready for the mission, or don’t I don’t care either way.” “Some interesting team you rounded up here” Stryker stated as he looked up at Professor Xavier. “Shut it!” Titus said to Stryker as he punched him in the face. “Why couldn’t I do that?” Michelle asked. “Professor before we get too off topic” Medic stated to Professor Xavier, “What’s the next mission you have for us.” “Oh right” Professor Xavier replied as he pressed a button bringing up a holographic screen. “One of X-MENS villains, Sinister, has sent us a message of his coordinates challenging XBOM to come and find him.” “And why would he do that?” Medic asked. “Man, what does that message even say?” Cobalt asked as he looked at the holographic image, “It looks like gibberish.” “It is time to face me” Draco replied as he deciphered the message, “Bring your best men, for you are going to need them.” “Great he’s a poet now…” Titus said. “Titus, Michelle” Professor said to Titus and Michelle, “You two encountered Sinister not too long ago correct?” “Sort of” Titus replied, “It wasn’t really him per say.” “Wait which one was Sinister again?” Michelle asked. “The one we didn’t get to kill” Titus answered. “Oh, the wuss who was only a hologram?” Michelle asked. “Yep” Titus answered, “Disappeared before we started actually fighting.” “Yeah” Michelle replied smiling, “And before we-“ Michelle suddenly stopped talking and her smile quickly went away.
“Ok…” Bryan said as he looked at Michelle and Titus, “Awkward…” “Anyway” Professor Xavier continued to say, “Sinister is a very powerful mutant. He is equally intelligent as he is strong and cunning. Draco I will give you a moment to decipher Sinister’s code and find the exact location he-“ “Already done” Draco interrupted, “The coordinates lead to a church in New Orleans.” “Alright” Titus said to XBOM as he turned, “Everyone back on the Blackbird. We’re headed to New Orleans.” “And what about Stryker?” Medic asked. “I think the Professor will be taking care of our prisoner.” “Haha” Stryker laughed, “Your prisoner? I am-“ “Gabby shut him up” Titus said to Gabby. Gabby suddenly kicked Stryker in the face knocking Stryker unconscious. “Shut it!” Gabby yelled angrily, “Please.” “I will bring Stryker to the lockdown room we have in the fortress with the other villains you have successfully captured” Professor Xavier explained, “It’s starting to get quite crowded in there.” “That’s a good thing, right?” Titus asked. “Lockdown room?” Medic asked. “Better way to say the jail they have princess” Michelle answered as she turned and boarded the Blackbird. “Are we going on this adventure too?” Bryan asked excitedly. “Yeah dude” Titus answered, “Get boarded.” “Yes!” Bryan replied and then dashed onto the Blackbird. “Slow it down or I will chop your legs off!” Michelle was heard yelling. “You ok to go?” Titus asked Sarah. “Yeah” Sarah replied quickly, “Besides, someone has to keep an eye on Bryan.” “I can do that just fine” Titus explained, “You don’t have to go if you’re not comfortable.” “No, no” Sarah answered, “I’m fine. Besides you have much more to worry about, don’t need Bryan as a distraction.” Sarah then turned and boarded onto the Blackbird. Cobalt grabbed Gabby’s arm and led her onto the Blackbird. Cobalt then passed Titus and looked back at Stryker who lay unconscious still. “Man this girl can go from peppy to motherfucking She Hulk in a second.” Cobalt stated to Titus. “Why you don’t get her mad” Titus replied as he turned and followed Cobalt and Gabby onto the Blackbird. Medic and Draco then followed behind. Professor Xavier watched as Draco and Michelle lifted the Blackbird into the air, then flew it out of the hanger.
“Alright Draco” Titus said as he walked to where Draco and Michelle were sitting, “Tell me what you know about Sinister.” “Not much honestly” Draco explained, “His records are hard to find. Nathaniel Essex: a man of high intelligence, quite the challenge physically and mentally.” “Alright well you handle him mentally” Titus replied, “And we will handle him physically.” “Wait a minute this man’s last name is E-sex?” Cobalt asked as Bryan and him laughed. “No, it’s pronounced Essex” Draco answered, “And something tells me it will not be that easy Titus.” “It is never that easy” Michelle replied, “And can you take a seat for once Titus?” “Since you called me by my name for once” Titus answered, “Yes.” Titus then walked over and took a seat. “Whatever…” Michelle said as she blew on her hair moving it out of her face. “Oh this is great!” Bryan said to Cobalt excitedly, “It’s only my second mission and I already took out a famous X-MEN villain and now I’m going with the team to take out another!” “Man do you ever calm down?” Cobalt asked. “Hey Cobalt” Medic said to Cobalt, “Let him be excited.” “Better to be excited than be nervous” Titus stated. “Agreed!” Gabby said agreeing with Titus. “Hey” Medic said as she sat down next to Sarah, “Are you ok?” “Yeah” Sarah replied, “Don’t worry about me.” “It’s my job to worry” Medic explained, “My job is to protect this team and keep them all alive.” “And kick ass” Titus said joining in the conversation. Medic turned to Titus and smiled. “I’ll be fine Medic don’t worry” Sarah stated. “Victoria” Medic said to Sarah, “Call me Victoria.” “I’m just saying that Thor could beat Hulk easily in a fight” Bryan was heard suddenly saying to Cobalt. “Man, awe hell no” Cobalt replied, “Thor doesn’t stand a chance. Hulks a beast.” “He has the name ‘The God of Thunder’ for a reason” Bryan explained. “Hulk has beaten gods before” Cobalt replied, “Titus tell him.” “Don’t know they are both powerful” Titus explained, “However I think my dad could personally beat both of their asses.” “No see now you just crossed into a whole nother debate man” Cobalt replied. “The Wolverine could probably take the hulk but no way he stands a chance against Thor” Bryan stated. “Are you being serious right now?” Cobalt asked. “Are you nerds done arguing!?” Michelle yelled. “Not even close Michelle” Medic replied. “Man if you think The Wolverine could defeat The Incredible Hulk then of course he could also go against Thor” Cobalt explained. “No way” Bryan replied, “All Thor would need to do is electrocute Wolverine and that’s the fight.” “You see how fast Wolverine moves man?” Cobalt asked, “Ain’t no way in hell Thor’s hitting him.” “You see how fast lightning moves?” Bryan asked. “This is going to take a while” Titus stated.
Draco and Michelle brought the Blackbird down and landed it in an opened field. Draco then pressed a button on the controls and the Blackbird turned invisible with its surroundings. “All set?” Titus asked as he stood up, “Oh I think my legs fell asleep.” Titus suddenly fell forward. “The church is just across the field to the East of us” Draco explained, “And you may experience some minor jet lag.” “Define minor…” Titus said as he laid face down against the Blackbird. “I got him” Medic stated as she helped Titus up. “Thank you Medic” Titus replied as Medic helped him up. “Drink this” Medic explained as she handed Titus a light green liquid in a vile, “It will help you get your feeling back.” “What is it a regenerating potion?” Titus asked as he drank the vile. “No, adrenaline” Medic answered. Titus suddenly jolted his head back and his eyes widened. “That, was probably a bad idea Medic” Cobalt stated as he stood up. “Is Titus ok?” Gabby asked as the team stared at Titus. “Alright guys!” Titus suddenly said quickly as he clapped his hands together, “Damn I feel really good right now, like I can just go run a mile, who wants to go run a mile!? Let’s go take down Sinister and his goons maybe kick some ass then we can run a mile ok? Man I feel so alive! Ready-go!” Titus then charged off of the Blackbird and down the field. “What just happened?” Sarah asked as the team watched Titus run down the field. Titus suddenly jumped in the air and yelled as he continued to run. “He basically said we need to go take down Sinister” Bryan explained, “Then maybe run a mile after.” “Man you understood that?” Cobalt asked. “Speed is my thing” Bryan answered. Medic looked at the vile Titus drank and then took out a small notepad. “Adrenaline” Medic stated aloud as she crossed adrenaline off the list of potions, “Nope.” “Should we follow after Titus?” Gabby asked. “Yeah that’d probably be the best idea” Cobalt replied, “Someone wake Kristie up and let’s see if we can keep up with Titus. “Who’s waking Kristie up?” Gabby asked. “Awe hell no man” Cobalt said as he walked off the Blackbird. “Not happening” Michelle said as she walked off the Blackbird, Draco followed behind her. “I would help” Medic stated, “But I rather not die.” Medic then walked off of the Blackbird. “Let me know how it goes” Medic said as she left. Gabby then looked at Bryan and Sarah. “So” Gabby said to Bryan and Sarah, “Any ideas?”
Titus ran through the fields and approached the outside of the church and then slid down and took cover behind a log. Titus then peaked his head up and looked around and spotted multiple figures dressed in green scattered around the church. “Ah, these guys again” Titus said to himself as he looked at the figures, “Am I talking to myself again? Eh what else is new I do this all the time. Damn I am so hyped up right now.” Suddenly the church doors opened and five figures dressed in green walked out carrying a coffin and brought it to the back of a hearse. Cobalt suddenly caught up to Titus and took cover behind the log as well. “Man…” Cobalt said breathing heavily, “How did you get here so fast?” Titus suddenly jumped over the log and shot two adamantium blades into his hands and held them as daggers and ran forward. “And there he goes again…” Cobalt said as he leaned against the log trying to catch his breath. Michelle suddenly teleported next to Cobalt and Cobalt jumped. “You can’t just teleport next to a man, man!” Cobalt said as he sighed in relief. “Where is Titus?” Michelle asked. Michelle suddenly looked over the log and watched as Titus ran behind a figure dressed in green and slashed the back of its neck beheading it. Titus then ran forward and drove his daggers into the chest of another figure and then grabbed a figure from behind and stabbed the figure four times and then sliced its throat. “What is he doing?” Michelle asked. “He’s moving a mile a second” Cobalt stated. “He’s taking all the kills!” Michelle replied. Draco and Medic suddenly caught up to Cobalt and Michelle and took cover behind the log. “Where did Titus go?” Medic asked. “The energizer bunny is currently taking out the patrol” Cobalt answered as he pointed to over the log with his thumb. Medic and Draco then looked over the log as Titus threw a dagger into one of the figures heads and then ran up and choke slammed two other figures to the ground. “Well this is going spectacular so far” Draco stated as Titus ripped the arms off of another figure dressed in green.
Back on the Blackbird Kristie laid in one of the chairs snoring sound asleep. Gabby, Bryan, and Sarah suddenly slowly peaked their heads over the chair and looked at Kristie. “How are we going to wake her up?” Gabby asked. “Is she a heavy sleeper?” Sarah asked in response. “Kristie” Gabby whispered as she tapped Kristie’s arm, “Get up please we have a mission.” Kristie groaned slightly and then turned sideways in the chair. “I don’t think that worked” Bryan stated. “Maybe we need to make some noise?” Gabby said with a shrug. “Oh, I got it!” Bryan replied and then suddenly disappeared. Gabby looked around the Blackbird then asked, “Where did he-“ “I have no idea” Sarah answered. Suddenly Bryan came back with crash symbols and smashed them together. “Nope, that didn’t work” Bryan stated and then suddenly disappeared again. Bryan then appeared again with a snare and started to bang on it with two sticks, Bryan then disappeared and reappeared with a trumpet and blew into it and didn’t make a sound. “Oh wait, I don’t play trumpet” Bryan stated. Bryan then disappeared and reappeared again with a guitar and smashed it against the ground, Bryan then disappeared and reappeared again with a gong and smashed the middle of it with a stick. Bryan’s body then started to shake as the sound of the gong rung throughout the Blackbird. Gabby and Sarah both covered their ears from the loud sound. The three then looked at Kristie. “Can I have a 20-piece nugget with that?” Kristie mumbled as she slightly turned and then began to snore again. “Wow” Sarah stated as the three looked at Kristie, “Going to need to throw a bucket of water on this girl.” “Oh, I can do that!” Bryan stated as he disappeared suddenly then reappeared with a giant container filled with water. “Bringing the ice bucket challenge back!” Bryan stated as he went to pour the water on Kristie. “Wait Bryan!” Sarah yelled as she tried to stop Bryan, “I wasn’t being serious.”
