Interns will be enrolled by Dr. Endless in PLSC 370 for 3 or 6 credit hours. Interns work 8 hours per week for 3 credit hours; 16 hours per week for 6 credit hours. Work hours are arranged with the host organization based on the intern's schedule and the needs of the host organization. The intern is required to take part in several internship seminars that will meet during the semester or summer session, write periodic journal entries regarding their work, and write a term paper relatedto the internship experience (3credits: 6-8 pages; 6 credits: 12-14 pages). Students who have completed two semesters at Loyola and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher are eligible to apply. Transfer students are also eligible upon enrolling at Loyola University. Please note that you do not have to be a Political Science major or minor to take part in an internship.
