REFUNDS: There shall be no refunds for entries withdrawn after the closing date in the event a dog and/or handler are injured, absent, or dismissed from competition, regardless of the reason for such dismissal. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of management it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Refunds are allowed if requested before the closing date. Refunds after closing date for bitches in season only. There will be a $5.00 processing fee for ANY refunds. No refunds for overpayments $10 or less.

Emails sent to us regarding move-ups, cancellations, etc. will be addressed on a priority basis. All correspondence will be processed within one week of receipt. We always send a reply email to all emailed cancellation requests when they are processed. We always send a reply email with a revised confirmation attached to all emailed moveup requests when they are processed.

If a response is NOT received before the above deadlines please email it again and also send a backup fax request. Only call me if the emailed and faxed requests do not get a timely reply. I cannot accept moveup request verbally. All moveup requests must be emailed, faxed, or mailed. My Fax number and phone number are always in the premium. ISP SPAM filters can cause non-delivery of emails. Just because you sent an email to cancel or to moveup – that does not mean that I have gotten it. If you do not get a reply - then it means we never got it.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

Airports: Lancaster Airport is closest (No Dogs), Harrisburg is 30 Miles (No Dogs), PHL – Philadelphia is 50 Miles, BWI – Baltimore/Washington is 65 Miles.

FROM PHILADELPHIA: Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) West to Exit 21, Route 222 South to Route 30 East. The hotel will be on the right hand side approximately five miles ahead on Route 30.

FROM PHILADELPHIA AIRPORT: I-95 South to Route FR322 West. Then take Route 322 North until you reach Route 1. Take Route 1 South to Route 41. Then take Route 41 North to Route 30. The hotel is on the left.

FROM BALTIMORE: Take I-83 North to Route 30 East. The hotel is located on the right hand side eight miles ahead on Route 30.

FROM HARRISBURG: Take Route 283 East to Route 30. The hotel is on the right side of Route 30. It is approximately 30 miles from Harrisburg.

FROM PITTSBURGH: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) East to Route 222 South to Route 30. The hotel will be on the right side approximately five miles ahead on Route 30 East.

FROM NEW YORK: Take the Jersey Turnpike (I-95) South to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276 to I-76) West. Take I-76 West to Exit 21, Route 222 South to Route 30 East. The hotel is on the right hand side approximately five miles ahead on route 30 East.

FROM BOSTON AND CONNECTICUT: Take Massachusetts Pike (I-90) West to Interstate 84 West to I-684 to I-287 across the Tappan Zee Bridge, following I-287 South to I-78 West. Take I-78 West to Route 222 South until you come to Route 30 East. The hotel will be on the right hand side approximately five miles ahead on Route 30.

Please contact the Lancaster Host at 800-233-0121 and mention the GDCA. Limit of 2 dogs per room. No exceptions. Rate is $119 plus tax for single or double occupancy, $129 plus tax for triple or quad occupancy. There is an additional one time charge of a $35 pet fee.

RV PARKING AND RESERVATIONS

The parking rate is $350.00 for the week or any portion thereof. No electric hookups are available. Fleet Fuel Delivery, as well as holding tank disposal will be available onsite through the week at rig owner’s expense. Site will be available beginning Friday, October 18, 2013. Maximum stay is 9 nights. Outside grilling is not permitted. A water tower will be onsite at no charge. Parking confirmation will be mailed and parking spaces will be assigned. THERE WILL BE ATTENDANTS TO DIRECT YOU TO YOUR DESIGNATED LOCATION. Deadline to cancel is 9/1/13. No refunds will be made after this date.

HOTEL COURTESIES TO OBSERVE

We are counting on you to be on your best behavior in order to maintain the working relationship with our hotel. Our hard-earned reputation, as well as our ability to continue hosting trials, is certainly on the line and dependent on YOUR cooperation. We follow up on any complaints from hotel owners or guests, so please report any issues to Fast Times or the club.

 Double-check on rates & charges. Call to confirm your reservation a few days before arriving.

 Of course, as is standard agility procedure, all handlers/owners will pick up after their dogs. Please bag and dispose of dog waste properly.

 Please cover the hotel’s bedding with a sheet or blanket from home, whether or not you think your dog will get on the bed.

Don’t EVER leave dogs unattended. Take them with you when you go out for dinner. Even the best of dogs can get carried away in a hotel room without you present.

NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS: At no time are dogs allowed in the lobby, the swimming pool area or the golf course. Dogs will be allowed on the tennis courts at your own risk every day from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Data entry mistakes happen. That is why we ask everyone to READ their preliminary confirmation and mailed final confirmation. For the majority of entries, dog and owner/handler information remains the same. However, if you have a:

CLASSES AND DIVISIONS

Please see the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials for current class descriptions. Dogs must be entered only in Regular Classes or Preferred Classes with no crossover between them allowed at the same set of trials.

HEIGHT DIVISIONS

Owners/Agents are responsible for entering the proper height divisions.

Regular Exhibitors may choose to enter their dog in a higher height division than required by AKC, but not in a height division lower than the AKC mandated height.

ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS OR PHOTOCOPIES OF ENTRY FORMS without the Agreement and Rules attached to the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT FEES will not be accepted.

NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED, WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES will be made as soon as trial closes or limits are reached. Acknowledgment of entries will include confirmation notices.

ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Trial Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the match, no refund of entry fees will be made.

ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS-Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after trial has closed.

CONSULT FINAL CONFIRMATION FOR TIME OF JUDGING.

WALKTHRUS. No umbrellas allowed during walkthrus.

JUDGES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WAIT FOR DOGS. The Owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when it is to be judged. The Club has no responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required.

TRIAL COMMITTEE will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show.

DOGS This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) Dogs with a Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Wherever the word “dog” is used in these regulations it includes both sexes. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind or deaf shall not be eligible, and neither are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. Puppies under four months of age are strictly prohibited from the trial grounds.

BITCHES IN SEASON are not eligible to participate. Entry fees will be refunded subject to a $5.00 processing fee. Written verification from a veterinarian is required. Notification for refund of bitches in season must be RECEIVED BEFORE THE START OF THE TRIAL.

DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to Judging, if a copy of their jump height card was sent with their entry. Otherwise, they must be available for measuring before their class begins.

The Great Dane Club of America does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC Entry Form for this event.
