Enhancements for May 2016 Release

648 / Enrolment Reporting Initiative – Non-credit Based Continuing Education
Registers / School Data Submission / The Education Finance Branch (EFB) has introduced an enrolment reporting modernization initiative which was outlined in SB32 memo regarding all continuing education and independent study program registers. This initiative includes the collection of elemental ADE and course/class related data for all continuing education and independent study programs through the OnSIS application. Phase one changes were implemented in 2014-2015 for all credit based registers. Phase two changes will be implemented in 2015-2016 for all non-credit based registers. The information collected through OnSIS will then be used for funding purposes. / The following changes will be made to OnSIS for all non-credit based continuing education registers:
Enrolment in Literacy and Numeracy Program:
·  Data to be collected at an elemental level once a year at the end of August through the con-ed and/or summer school submissions in OnSIS.
·  ADE to be collected by Course Offering Type for each student. Course Offering Types include:
-  Grade 7 or 8 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy
-  Non-credit Grade 9 or 10 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy
-  Literacy and Numeracy for Parents and Guardians
Enrolment in the International Languages Elementary (ILE) Program:
·  Data to be collected at an aggregate level once a year at the end of August through the con-ed and/or summer school submissions in OnSIS.
·  Collection to include Number of Classes, Number of Instructors, Number of Students and Total Number of Hours by international language.
Enrolment in Adult Native Language Instruction:
·  Data to be collected at an elemental level once a year at the end of August through the con-ed and/or summer school submissions in OnSIS.
·  ADE to be collected by Native Language for each student.

- BRDSUM-0003FE.00 - Section F - Board FSL Enrolment (Elementary) – Summary and BRDSUM-0003FES.00 - Section F - Board FSL Enrolment by School (Elementary) reports display JK and SK students who are scheduled on October 31, 2014 to take instruction in French for an average of 75 or more minutes per school day to be funded / - SHSM courses will be validated using year and month only.
- BRDSUM-0003FE.00 - Section F - Board FSL Enrolment (Elementary) – Summary and BRDSUM-0003FES.00 - Section F - Board FSL Enrolment by School (Elementary) reports will display JK and SK students who are scheduled on October 31, 2014 to take instruction in French for an average of 150 or more minutes per school day to be funded

661 / CTCC Education Program Data Collection / School Data Submission / Currently, aggregate school enrolment data is collected once a year in October from secondary CTCC Education Programs. / Moving forward, elemental student achievement data will be collected from secondary CTCC education programs beginning in June 2016 for the 2015-16 school year. The data will provide an evidence base to inform improvements to CTCC programs and to improve success outcomes for students attending education programs in CTCC facilities. The new elemental collection will include the following;
·  Student Enrolment information
·  Course Enrolment and achievement information
·  Diploma information

663 / LOP for CTCC Program / Administration / Boards are currently unable to request LOP’s for teachers and Early Childhood Educators who are teaching in a CTCC Education Program / CTCC Education Program to be added to the list of schools available when administrators submit an LOP request for teachers and Early Childhood Educators
