Learning Goal: to demonstrate your understanding of the text of Hamletby writing an article about the characters and events of the play.
Your assignment is to write a ‘gossip-style’ news article reporting the happenings in and around the royal castle (Elsinore) of Denmark. Your article should follow basic news article format, but will contain information related to what’s happened recently with the royals, as well as ‘rumours’ and ‘gossip’ you’ve obtained from your sources inside the castle.
So that your article is not just all death and gloom(that is, so that you aren’t just writing about all the dead people at the end) you are to write your article right after news spreads that Hamlet is on his way back to Denmark. (pg. 147 of the text) Your article should explain why he was away, what happened in Elsinore while he was away, and what happened in the days leading up to his departure. Be sure to end your article by ‘speculating’ about what will happen next, once Hamlet arrives back in Denmark. Your article should be at least 10 paragraphs in length(1-2 sentences per paragraph!)

Either way, we just want Zerrie to be happy! We can't imagine how hard a cheating scandal and Zayn's split from the group has been on them as a young couple.
