Prerequisites / Requirements: There are no formal prerequisites for the Research Seminar, but students should submit this application only if they are willing to make a commitment to enroll in the course for both fall and spring semesters and to complete a substantial research project. Experience in the fields of energy and clean technology is not a requirement for the seminar, but interest in the fields is. Past or concurrent enrollment in Law 270.6: Energy Regulation & the Environment, and Law 270.7: Renewable Energy and Other Alternative Fuels: Law, Policy & Promise is required.

Registration Information: Both students and TAs will receive 2 units per semester. For student participants (not TAs), completion of a case study report for the Research Seminar satisfies the Clean Technology Law Certificate writing requirement and Berkeley Law’s writing requirement.
