Emirates SkyCargo/CBFCA Academic Achievement Award 2016

NOMINATION FORM

Emirates Skycargo (EKSC) and the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia (CBFCA) have launched the annual Academic Achievement Award (“the award”) for 2016. The Award recognises excellence in academic performance by students undertaking nationally recognised training courses within the cargo or freight forwarding industry at Diploma level.

The winner will receive:

  • 1 x Business Class ticket to Dubai
  • Accommodation for three nights
  • Educational meetings to be arranged with KEY Emirates SkyCargo executives
  • Tour of the cargo handling terminal and facility
  • $5K funds for the winner to spend towards education or ongoing training

Nomination criteria

The nominee must be:

  1. A student currently enrolled in either the Diploma of International Freight Forwarding or the Diploma of Customs Broking
  2. Currently employed in the international trade sector in Australia
  3. Resident in Australia
  4. Employed by a CBFCA Business Member

Selection criteria

The successful nominee will:

  • Have a proven record of academic excellence in their studies to date
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a career within the international trade sector
  • Play a key role in creating a community of learners through the sharing of their knowledge with peers

Key dates

Nominations for the Award need to be received fromstudents and/or their teachers of the respective Diplomas by the CBFCA no later than close of business on Friday 29 July 2016.

Successful nominees will be short-listed for an interview by the judging panel during August and the winner announced on Friday 26 August 2016.

The winner of the Award will be invited to receive their Award at the CBFCA’s National Conference to be held at the Crown Promenade Melbourne on Friday 7 October 2016.
