Parallel with these transformations in healthcare, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has embarked on an ambitious effort to restore momentum to its core programs. Many of the environmental exposures of healthcare organizations may fall under these core programs, making it important that hospitals and other organizations maintain a sharp focus on environmental compliance.
