EMAA Junior Pro Basketball Rules
- All players must play a minimum of 13 minutes per game.
- ALL players must sit 1 full quarter
- Players will not be allowed to play unless they are in Uniform Shirts that are tucked in withBlack Basketball shorts.
- Quarters will be 10 minutes long. Minutes per quarter may be adjusted at the league’s discretion. This may apply if rosters are very large.
- Each team is allowed 6 time outs
- The B squad will play the entire 2nd period & the 2nd half of the 3rd period
- There will be no substitutions in the 2nd & 2nd half of the 3rd unless that team has less than 10 players. All players will still sit 1 full quarter. This means that B squad players will play in parts of the 1st 3rd& possibly the 4rth quarters.
- High school rules will apply to team fouls. 7 team fouls per half to be in the bonus & 10 fouls in the double bonus
- Players will be removed when they get their 5th personal foul.
- If a player is assessed a technical foul he is to be removed from the game for 2 minutes or more, this rule will be strictly enforced. If he is given a 2nd technical foul he will be ejected from the game & automatically suspended for the next game. The Board reserves the right to permanently ban a player for unbecoming conduct. This includes playoffs
- Technical fouls will be assessed for swearing, complaining to the referee about calls, uncontrolled conduct, poor sportsmanship & fighting. Head Coaches are responsible for players & assistants conduct at all times.
- Coaches are also responsible for conduct of parents & fans. If a fan gets out of control bench technical fouls will be called. There will be Zero tolerance for verbal abuse of referees. If a fan gets out of hand he or she will be asked to leave. If conduct gets out of hand the Board reserves the right to call the game a forfeit.
- Players and coaches should arrive at least 20 minutes before game time.
- NO DUNKING ALLOWED. First infraction will be a technical foul. Second infraction will be 1 game suspension. 3rd will be expulsion from the league.
- Coaches for both teams are responsible for getting a volunteer to run the time clock. This is not the league’s responsibility. Also there should be a scorekeeper from each team sitting at the scorer’s table. If there is only one then that will be the official book.
- No roster changes will be allowed without Board approval.
- If a player does not play in at least half the games he will not be allowed to play in the playoffs. Only exceptions would be an injury or illness.
- The board reserves the right to alter or make rules exceptions in the interest of FAIR PLAY.
