Elektrans Global strengthens its Board and Senior Management Team
The Elektrans Group is pleased to announce yet another iconic addition to its Group Board. Mr. Glen D’Costa will join the group as Executive Board Member of Elektrans Global Pte. Ltd. He is currently Managing Partner of Gauri Ships Pte Ltd (part of the Elektrans Group), which is jointly owned by Mr Daniel Chopra and Mr Glen D’costa. Based in Singapore, Mr Glen D’costa will pilot the establishment and growth of Gauri Ships, and oversee the Elektrans Group as a Director having a strong technical focus.
With a distinguished International shipping career spanning 37 years, he will steer the continuous development of the company. He has served on the technical committees of Lloyds Register, DNVGL and the Singapore Ship Owners Association Bunkering Committee. After sailing as a Chief Engineer, Mr Glen D’costa commenced his career ashore with Jardine Ship Management which was taken over by Pacific Basin Group in H.K. where he spent 11 years. In 2004, with three oil tankers, he relocated to Singapore to establish Epic Ship Management, a private company formed by the founders of Pacific Basin Limited. He worked as the Managing Director of Epic Ship Management and the Technical Director of Epic Gas Limited and played a pivotal role in increasing the fleet to 50 vessels.
Through his strong leadership, renowned shipping expertise and visionary business approach, he has achieved remarkable results during his career. Sharing his comments on the appointment of Mr. Glen D’Costa as an Executive Board Member of Elektrans Global and Managing Partner of Gauri Ships, Mr. Daniel Chopra - Chairman and Managing Director of Elektrans Group said, ‘We, at Elektrans, have always strived to render innovative, cost
