Re: Roads in Lakefield and Westdene in a State of Disrepair
Good day Edwin and Callie,
Please attend to the state of the roads in Lakefield and Westdene, particularly at the below areas which are of primary concern.
Sher Road (between Atlas Road and Sunny Rd) – Although the potholes have been fixed this road needs dire retarring.
Intersection of Kilfenora Road and Sunnyside Ave – this intersection needs retarring.
21 Reeva Road - When they got the pipe jacking company to jack a pipe for water under the road it came very close to the surface and caused a bulge. With the rain this has now broken up and there is quite a big hole in the road, it is just over a metre long and between 300 and 400 mm wide.
4 Brand Street, The Stewards - 2 big holes in the road.
Willow Terrace – Potholes near the stop street at the intersection of Aloe Rd.
9 Lomond Avenue - Replace a manhole cover - the drop is about 5 meters. Anyone straying onto the pavement, and not seeing it open, can injure themselves. It has a square tile over it.
Lomond Avenue - The surface of the road is coming loose, as is the gravel below.
Sunny Road, in the area of our complex Champs-du-Lac - There are a number of bad potholes in. Our handyman has tried to fill the worst with bricks, but the stones coming out of the holes are making the road slippery in wet weather and there was a case of a stone flying out from under a vehicle and hitting someone. At the corner of Shannon and The Drive - there is building sand and stones from the upper part of Shannon (where the big house has been under construction) stones are washing down into the pan. Also the destruction of the road caused by the building needs to be fixed. Callie, I understand that you were part of the original complaint. If you cannot assist with this please advise and pass on to Phillip Nice.
