Slip Printer Setup

Installation File Location

Requesting to Receive the Self-Extracting Zip File as an

E-Mail Attachment

Due to the mail restrictions at RevenueSA the attachment, can not be sent as an executable file (.exe), hence

Save the attachment “Revnet Slip Printer.ex_” to your hard drive, renaming it to ”RevNet Slip Printer.exe”

Ie in Outlook / Outlook Express

Either right click on attachment and select “save as”

or

Double click on attachment

If prompted

Select Save it to disk

Save the attachment into a known location ie My Documents

Rename the attachment to

RevNet Slip Printer.exe

Execute the self-extracting zip file RevNet Slip Printer.exe (double click on the file) the following popup appears.

Select Unzip

Select OK

Select Close

Now browse to “C:\RevNet Slip Printer” either through windows explorer or “My Computer” and execute (double click) SETUP.EXE

Upon executing Setup.exe

Installation Program

Setup initially will copy 7 files onto your computer .

NOTE: On some computers, setup may require the computer to reboot at this stage, if this is the case select yes to reboot and re-run setup.exe upon restart.

At the Welcome screen

Click OK

Click this button to start the install process

Click OK

Browser Settings

Internet Explorer Settings

Open Internet Explorer,

From the Menu bar select Tools – Internet Options

Select Security TAB

Select Trusted Sites

Select Sites

Add the following web site to this zone

Click add

Click OK

Select Custom Level

Enable all ActiveX controls settings (the first five settings)

Click OK

Netscape Navigator Settings

Setting the COM Port in RevNet Maintenance

Log-on to REVNET ( using the your site's, RevNet administrator username and password,

On the left panel goto maintenance

Select Slip Printer Setup

Select the desired COM port from the drop down list (If you are not sure try com1)

Select Print a Test Page.

(Remember to load a sheet of paper into Slip Printer – as prompted)

If this fails try another COM port (i.e. COM2 - refer to previous step)

Finally Save the desired Com port Setting
