Source of Official Soil Survey Data

ChelanCounty– General

ChelanCountyis covered by two soil surveys: Soil Survey of Chelan County Area, Washington (Parts of Chelan and KittitasCounties (published 1975), and Soil Survey of Cashmere Mountain Areas, Washington (Parts of Chelan and OkanoganCounties) (unpublished). These publications include soil map unit descriptions, series descriptions, tables of properties and interpretations for various uses, and soil maps. These publications remain a valuable reference but they are no longer considered the official soil data for AlphaCounty. Copies of these published soil survey are available at the field office upon request. Replicated versions are available on a CD.
