ECPS CORE VALUE: COMMUNITYWE BELIEVE the school and community should work collaboratively in supporting the learning community by fostering open and direct communication. We all share the responsibility for educating our students/citizens.
Goal 1: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Reorganize PTSO by starting with executive officers.
Establish requirement of report card pick-up (initial report card each semester.
Require parental participation in registration process twice a year.

Establish a plan to improve home “calls” for parental notification of student progress.
Create a panel of guest speakers for a Lyceum Series for the yearly theme.
Create monthly newspaper to be shared (hardcopy and website).
Monthly Parent Council meetings to share activities, needs, and future plans.
Maintain minutes of all SIT meetings.

Research and create a probation plan for success for at-risk students to be implemented by second semester.
Every student will have a HOUSE Advisor that will help him or her personalize the educational experience.

WE BELIEVE that improvement is a process and not a destination. ECPS must have a strategic process to continuously evaluate each step of the learning process, operational efficiency and monitoring framework so that our District continues to improve in a thoughtful, planned way.

STRATEGY I:
To provide targeted release dates for data study and interpretation for EOC tested subjects (Biology, English II, and Integrated Math I) and MSL tested subjects. Substitute teachers will be hired at the conclusion of testing and after the release of data. The dates include for teacher release include: November 14th (Semester 1) and April 11th (Semester 2).
FUNDS NEEDED TO IMPLEMENT STRATEGY II:
Substitute Teacher Pay: (7 teachers X 2 days of release X $91.00 per day) ...... $1,274.00
This plan is contingent upon an increase in FIP funds and is the preferred plan to include all teachers teaching these subjects. If no increase is provided, Plan B will be utilized.
