Research Assistant. Participated in research examining Peer-Support and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing used by firefighters. Trauma Health and HazardsCenter, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Fall 2005-Fall 2006. Collected, entered and analyzed data. Supervisor: Elizabeth T. Williams, M.A.

Research Assistant. Primary researcher examining the efficacy of web-based interventions for recovery from psychological distress. Established surveys on an online system, recruited, randomly assigned, and tracked participants. Collected, entered and analyzed data. Paid position. Supervisor: Charles C. Benight, Ph.D.

Research Assistant. Participated in research related to PTSD and HIV, PTSD and motor vehicle accidents, and double blind study of early administration of hydrocortisone following traumatic events and PTSD development. Assisted in data collection, biological sample collecting, imputation, and data preparation for several ongoing research projects.

Research Assistant. Participated in research related to treatment preferences for individuals seeking treatment at an outpatient psychological trauma specialty clinic. The position included coordinating undergraduate research assistants and clinicians, data collection, data entry, and record maintenance.

Summer Research Fellow. Participated in a project titled “Assessment of Mental Health Treatment Outcomes in Inpatient and Outpatient Settings”. Position included coordinating interdepartmental collection of relevant assessment materials and outcome measures for patients seeking treatment in inpatient psychiatric, outpatient psychiatric, and traumatic stress clinics.

Developed and hosted a 4 hour workshop designed to provide education for student veterans to identify signs and risk factors of suicide in peers. Activities included didactics, interactive discussion, role play, and evaluation of skill application. Workshop was collaborated with the Center for Adult & Veteran Services, Kent State University.
