Market this class as “Preparing (our clients) for Homeownership.”

Motion by Ruth Knott and second by Brenda Flores to partner with IAR and IWCC to schedule the Law Update on Nov. 19th and Ethics on Nov. 20th as our first choice dates if those dates are not available then Dec. 3rd & 4th as a backup. Motion carried.

Motion by Brenda Flores and second by Gladys Danker to partner with IAR and see if Linda Berg with IFA is available to teach the Truth in Lending/RESPA class on June 17th immediately following our membership breakfast meeting that morning. Motion carried.

The TILA/RESPA class is approved for 1 hour CEU and the cost would be $10 for student s to get their certificates online. This class location would be held at the CB Country Club.

Committee asked if we could allow members to attend the Truth in Lending/RESPA class to our members for FREE. Our association would have to cut a check for $10 times the number of SWIAR registrants to IAR as they are charging the $10 per member certificate cost.

Kristi communicated to the Education committee that the board of directors tabled the discussion about the $1,800 line item for the Beacon GIS – maybe they would consider allocating those funds toward that class? No promises….

Kristi sent an email to Katherine to communicate all the above requested class titles , dates & times.

Kristi will send out the Preparing for Homeownership outline to the committee.

Next meeting date is Thursday, March 19th at 1:30 p.m.

Meeting adjourned, Respectfully submitted, Kristi L. Jerkovich, RCE
