Edge Arts Community Advisory Board

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the EAC Advisory Board.

The responsibilities of the role are listed below.

Purpose of the Board:

  • To plan, organise and promote exciting and creative arts workshops, exhibitions, trips, shows and opportunities to increase student engagement and develop artistic practice across campus
  • To co-manage the EAC budget and award appropriate funding to students who have applied to the Edge Arts Development Fund
  • To support the recruitment of 2 x Student Coordinators
  • To help raise awareness of the creative activities happening both on campus and regionally, and to encourage increased participation amongst students
  • Provide student perspectives and feedback from the student community

Responsibilities of board members:

To work together to devise and implementa programme of events and development opportunities for students signed up to the Edge Arts Community

  • To devise ideas for EAC events and activities, and to work as a team to produce a programme of opportunities for University of Bath students
  • To attend regular monthly board meetings to discuss and plan future events
  • To input into the strategic development of the Edge Arts Community scheme
  • To produce and share promotional material via the EAC newsletters and social media platforms
  • To attend Edge Arts Programming meetings to feedback and assist decision-making regarding the Edge Arts professional programme
  • To become an ambassador for the arts and EAC, encouraging friends, course mates and the wider student population to become part of the Edge Arts Community, both in person, at events, and online via social networking sites
  • To be available at short notice, and to work flexibly as required
  • To act as the public face of the EAC - to look, behave and act accordingly at all times

Members of the Advisory board will be employed via Joblink and will be paid for their time spent at EAC meetings.
