All applications for exchange programmes must be made through the International Coordinator at your home institution. The completed application form, supporting documentation and audition material must be submitted online using the Decision Desk portal at https://app.decisiondesk.co.uk/clients/rcm2016/account/create. Please note that the RCM does not offer courses in Jazz or Music Teaching, and we unfortunately cannot accommodate exchange applications for Conducting.

Please note that all optional modules are subject to availability. Your final study programme will be agreed at a personal interview with your Head of Programme at the RCM during Induction Week. Participation in orchestral projects will depend on an orchestral audition during the first two weeks of term.
Language Competence
Teaching is in English and exchange students at the RCM are expected to have a standard of English equivalent to at least CEFR Level B2.
Audition Recording/Portfolio
Exchange candidates must submit an audition recording (performers) or portfolio of their work (composers). Recordings should include around 20 minutes of material. Videos are strongly preferred to audio if possible, and are compulsory for Percussion candidates. Composers should submit between 2 or 3 works.
