Eaton is One of the “Leading Lights” at Light+Building 2014,
Highlighting Energy Efficiency and Safety for Lighting Engineering

Bonn… Power management company Eaton will be unveiling lighting components at this year’s Light+Building exhibitionin Frankfurt/Main, 30 March –4 April. The company’s booth, D30 in hall 4.1, will feature innovations in the field of lighting and light-emitting diode (LED) engineering.

Visitors to the booth will learn more about current solutions from the extensive CEAG product range for emergency lighting as well as explosion-proof lighting and Funke+Huster Fernsig (FHF) signaling devices from Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds business.Lighting consultants and designers will also be able to experience a complete package of lighting control solutions ranging from the iLight series architectural, Greengate series commercial energy management and Zero 88 series performance and effects lighting controls. They can find out more about the latest user interfaces and software and speak to controls specialists about their specific project requirements. Furthermore, planning engineers will have the opportunity to meet with Eaton experts from the building technology and automation segments, which market the established xComfort wireless system as well as systems and components for low and medium voltage power distribution. Thanks to its wide range of products, Eaton is ideally positioned to engineer solutions for both industrial and commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. Customers also benefit from a high degree of energy efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

When it comes to emergency lighting, Eaton offers new LED upgrade kits for the CEAG Style line which allow existing Style luminaires to be converted from 8W fluorescent lamps to innovative LED technology in compliance with all relevant standards. Compared to conventional fluorescent lamps, LED technology achieves energy savings of up to 48percent. With a lifespan of at least 50,000 hours, LEDs also last ten times longer than fluorescent lamps, helping to reduce maintenance costs. The popular W270.3/W276.3 portable hand lamps with emergency light function are now available in an efficient LED version. Users can also easily upgrade existing portable hand lamps with the LED upgrade kit. Other highlights include the Atlantic LED HB CG-S,a new LED emergency light with an extremely narrow-focused lens,an IP65 protection rating and a mounting height of up to 28m, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use for up to -20 degrees Celsius. The established Atlantic escape sign luminaires, also with an IP65 rating, features self-contained technology and LED step lights for optimized, dazzle-free illumination of stairways.

In the area of explosion-proof lights, Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds businesswill unveil the eLLK 92 LED 400/800 CEAG lights – a new line which combines the benefits of the established eLLK family with innovative LED technology. Existing eLLK/M 92 fluorescent light fittings, which feature an EVG 09 ballast unit, can be quickly and easily upgraded using the linear LED module, offering users a major advantage. A special reflector design enables the high-power LEDs to distribute light over the work plane without shadows or scattered light. The design and approval of the LED module allow for use in the established Ex-e type of protection. Other product highlights with LED technology include the AB 05 LED explosion-proof wall and ceiling lights, Planete 400 emergency lights for Ex-zones 1 and 21 and explosion-proof hand lamps such as the HL 43 d LED or the TX/CX 20/40 torchlights and the Stabex mini LED.

Eaton’sCrouse-Hinds business also covers the FHF product range of explosion-proof signaling devices. Prominent among them is the revised, weatherproof BLE LED signaling lamp, which in addition to established parameters such as IP66 protection and a temperature range of -40 to 65 degrees Celsius, now also impresses with double the light output – ideal criteria for the toughest ambient conditions.
