2018–2019“Early Registration” Student Parking

Parking registration packets for JUNIORSSENIORSwill be available before and after schoolinOffice 701, beginning April 16, 2017. Packets for future sophomores will be available the first day of school.

  • Early Registration packet turn-in begins:

Seniors 2019 (Blue/Yellow/Orange/Green sections) – Monday, April 23rdbefore and after school ONLY

Juniors 2019 (Purple/Red/Brown sections) - Monday, April 30th before andafter school ONLY

  • Registration packet must include:
  1. Completed application (MUST BE LEGIBLE! / COMPLETELY FILLED OUT / SIGNED – BOTH SIDES)
  2. COPY of unexpired TX Driver’s License (copy must show expiration date of TX DL)
  3. COPY of unexpired insurance card that must list the student’s name, the vehicle/s listed on application, and expiration date.
  4. Section of parking lotthat you prefer for your grade level. We will do our best to accommodate your top choices, but there are no guarantees. Individual parking spaces are randomly drawn within the color sections. (See parking map in office 701 for grade-level color sections.)
  • Students that turn in a COMPLETE, LEGIBLE,EARLY REGISTRATION PACKET, and have NO FINANCIAL HOLDS, will be assigned a temporary space for the 2018 – 2019 school year.
  • Packets that are illegible, missing signatures, incomplete, missing copies, or have financial holds, will be returned to the student later for corrections. Once corrections have been made, those students will have the opportunity to finish the early registration process before the end of the current school year.
  • “Early RegistrationTAG PICK-UP”information will be announced and posted as soon ASAP - Tentative dates are August 6th – 8th.
  • ***NOTE: If you get a new car over the summer, or your plates have changed, or your insurance hasexpired (or will be expiring the first week of school,) or your TX DL has expired/expiring the first week of school, you will be required to bring copies of the updated information to receive your tag. The Changes/Update form is availablehere. Please attach the updated information to the form, and bring with you on the day that you pick up your tag. VEHICLE INFORMATION MUST BE KEPT CURRENT THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR. Financial holds will be checked again, and you will need a copy of your online payment receipt to receive your tag.

May 18th: Last day for Juniors & Seniors to turn in early registration packets for review. Incomplete packets, or those with financial holds, will not be assigned a temporary space until corrections have been made.

June 1st: Parking closed for the summer – We will resume the distributing and processing of applications on August 27th.

August 1st: Online payment for the 2018-2019 tags will be available at . Do not make a payment prior to Aug. 1st! Online payment does not guarantee a hang tag. The application process must still be followed.A COPY of the online receipt will be needed to pick up the tag. No cash or checks will be accepted. There are NO refunds.

August 6th- 8th: Tentative dates for those students that had their “Early Registration Packets” processed, to pick up their tags. Please check KCHS website for updates on dates, times, location, and reminders.

August 20th: Second-Round-Parking Begins - Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniorscanpick up applications in office 701 before and after school.

August 27thh: First day to turn in and process any new applications during the regular parking office hours 2:45 – 3:15 pm.

August 31st: Last day for students that had an application processed in spring, to pick up their tag. Tags must be picked up by 3:15 pm or they will be made available for future sales.

September 10th: Student parking will be strictlyenforced. Per KISD Student Handbook, students may not park anywhere on campus without avisible 2018-2019 hang tag.Failure to comply with all parking rules will result in discipline being assigned in accordance with the Student Handbook.
