Age appropriateness validation study could be costly. Could be completed as a student research project or thesis.
State team could review analysis from Alignment Institute and then articulate areas in which there are gaps and have experts verify.
Determine which domains have in-state expertise and where out-of –state expertise will need to be sought. / Progress presentation to Early Childhood Cabinet in June (to include teleconference participation by SRI).
Ask SRI and Lynne Kagan their opinion on expert review and next steps and pros and cons of age appropriateness validation.
Engagement of domain experts both in and out-of state as needed.
Susan Sponheimer contacted the National Center on Cultural and Linguistic Responsiveness. The “standards and DLL” document should be posted soon. They were unable to give specific recommendations for content experts. / Linda Espinoza, content expert for consideration.
Who was the presenter on cultural competence at the recent Head Start conference in Enfield? / Check to see who WestEd tapped for expertise in the area when working on the new Head Start Frameworks.
