Early Childhood Events/Classes
Winter Events/Classes:
Winter Olympics: All families with children birth-5 years old are welcome to come enjoy some winter fun together! Activities geared around winter/snow/cold will be set up for families to participate in. Gather your family team and come celebrate winter on Saturday February 23 from 10-11:30 am in Mapleton at the playground grassy area. If there is no snow, then we will adjust our activities and have indoors in the AAA Auditorium.
Teddy Bear Picnic: This family class is for children, their parent(s) and their favorite teddy bear! The class will be filled with teddy bear activities and a special picnic snack. Pizza/Gym Night: Take a night to get the kids out of the house and not have to cook! Our most popular winter event consists of gym activities set up for children and pizza to eat. This event will be held once in each MR community during the week of February 25. $3/person for pizza. Spring Events/Classes:
Spring Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Session: Our family classes are broke into Infant/Toddler class (4 week session) and 2-5 year old class (8 week session). Classes are held at Amboy, Good Thunder, Mapleton and Minnesota Lake on certain nights of the week. Spring session starts the week of March 11. Little Tikes Dance – Hoedown Theme: Join us for our 3rd annual Little Tikes Dance that has left kids talking about it all year round! This year our theme is Hoedown, so attendants are welcome to dress up in country wear and enjoy some special hoedown activities. Event is tentatively set for Saturday April 27 3-5pm so mark your calendars now!
