JOB DESCRIPTION
Post: RELIEF Donation & Distribution Centre Assistant
Reports to: Area Manager
Overview of Role: To assist the Area Manager with the running of the Donation & Distribution Centre, with particular emphasis on the receipt, sorting, processing, gift-aiding, and recycling of donated goods. Assisting with collections and deliveries as required. Provide excellent customer service in all settings and at all times.
Key Tasks:
1. To assist the Area Manager in the sorting and processing, collection and delivery of the donated goods.
2. To support shop sales by using EMH Quality/Health and Safety guidelines when selecting donated stock for sales in the retail outlets.
3. To liaise with retail outlets as requested by the manager.
4. To assist with collections and deliveries as required.
5. To respect customers property and assets when delivering or removing stock.
6. To ensure compliance with Manual Handling Operations.
7. To assist in the completion of all documentation in a correct and timely manner as required by EMH.
8. To support the promotion and maximise the capture of Gift Aid.
9. Ensure a safe environment for staff, volunteers and the general public by maintaining strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations and notifying the Area Manager of any issues or concerns.
10. To fulfil any other duties that may at times be reasonably required.
General
