Registering for Classes
Log inis required for registration applications.
a. Preferred SectionList
Using the preferred section list is a two step process:
- The first step involves building your class schedule. Thepreferred section listacts like a shopping cart of classes. You can select and save classes to your preferred section list “shopping cart”prior to your registration time, or during open registration.
- The second step involves registration. When your priority registration time occurs, you will need to manually register for the class sections saved to your list. You are not automatically registered for the classes that are saved to your preferred section list.
- You are not guaranteed a seat in the classes saved to your preferred list. Once the classes are submitted for registration the system will check to see that any prerequisites, co-requisites and program requirements have been met.
There are two ways to get classes into your preferred section list “shopping cart”:
- Search and Register for Sections
- Express Registration
b. Search and Register for Sections
After searching for all offerings of a course, you will be provided with a list of course sections.
When searching for courses/classes, if you would like a course description, click on the section.
A new browser window will open providing a course description and any prerequisite information.
Search and Register
To move classes to your preferred sections list, select search and register for sections. You will repeat the steps from searching for sections. Select the term (fall, spring, or summer). For example: Art Appreciation, AR-100T. Select AR-Art from the drop down Subject menu and type in 100Tin the Course Number field.Leave the Course Level and Section fields blank and enter Submit.
Checking the desired class and submitting will move the class to your preferred section list.
c. Express Registration
The Express Registration option can be used if you have already identified the course and section information for the course(s) you want to register for. The synonym number identifies the specific section you are registering for. Submitting the synonym number will move the class to your preferred section list.
d. Submit

Preferred Sections
After courses are selected and submitted, they are added to your Preferred Sections list. You can Register (RG-Register) or Remove (RM-Remove) courses on your list. You are not registered for the courses until youhave selected RG-Register and clicked submit. EagleNet will then either provide a receipt page to be printed or identify if there are problems with your registration request.
Current Registration
The courses that you are registered for will show under current registration.

Error Message Screens Students May Encounter
Why did my session time out?
As a security feature, if too much time elapses between actions, EagleNet will time out. You will be required to log in again. It is important to have your exact synonym numbers prepared priorto using express registration to minimize being “timed out” of your session. When searching for classes, a “guest login” is created. A guest login session will also time out. You would begin again with MENU.
What does the multiple submit warning mean?
This message appears if you perform an action multiple times, such as multiple mouse clicks or using the back key too many times. The multiple submit warning prevents you from viewing a prior website page. This is a security feature of EagleNet. Your original request may still be processed. Wait a few minutes to see if your information was processed or if you will need to resubmit.
