The Age UK Camden charity group has a turnover of £2.9 million, employs 55 fte staff, engages 340volunteers and provides crucial services (many under contract to Camden Council and Camden CCG) to 8,000 older people

each year. One subsidiary charity – Opening Doors London – supports LGBT

older people regionally, and another – Personalisation Support in Camden –

empowers disabled people to make care choices. Age UK Camden is also the

lead agency for Ageing Better in Camden, a Big Lottery funded initiative to

reduce isolation.

Services Manager (0.8 FTE)

Scale PO3 Scp 38 to 41 £36,548 to £39,460 pa FTE incl. London Weighting.Pro rata £29,238.40 to £31,568 pa for 28 hours

As one of the Service Managers on the Senior Management Team at Age UK Camden you will be responsible for a portfolio of services supporting older people in the borough. Age UK Camden’s broad services offer includes two day resource centres, information & advice, counselling, care navigation, direct payments support, befriending, dementia support, digital inclusion, and nail cutting.

You will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of someof these services and/or support functions like communications and volunteering. Strong management skills will see you successfully managing employees, services and budgets. You will also work to develop new services for AUC in and around Camden. Your understanding of the issues affecting older people and health and social care policy and practice in relation to this will see you delivering high quality services and quality assurance.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our Senior Management Team and to work collaboratively with them to continue to deliver high quality services and further develop the organisation to continue to meet the needs of the older people in Camden.
