1. Playing conditions
  2. Each team will consist of 6 players
  3. All players should be registered on Pitchero prior to playing. Exceptions will be made providing the player not registered is notified to the umpire prior to the match
  4. No player can play for two teams in the same division
  5. Each match will consist of 10, 5 ball overs
  6. Two players may bowl a maximum of three overs, and two players a maximum of two overs.
  7. There shall be no more than a 3 minute interval in between innings
  8. Two batsmen shall be at the crease for the first five wickets of the innings. In the event of the 5th wicket falling, the last batsman may bat on his own, but must score exclusively in runs from the scoring areas, no runs can be taken. The batsman can still be ‘run out’ or ‘stumped’ if out of his crease at any time the ball is live.
  9. When a batsman reaches or passes a personal total of 25, he shall retire but may return. Retired batsman must return in the order they retired.
  10. All deliveries above waist height at whatever pace will be declared a ‘no ball’. All no balls (front foot and height) will result in a ‘free hit’ the following ball.
  11. Any delivery down the legside shall be called a wide
  12. The first extra bowled over any over will result in one run, plus an extra delivery. Any subsequent extra will result in three runs and no extra delivery. This is with the exception of the tenth over, where five legal balls must be bowled.
  13. The toss will take place five minutes before the start time of the match.
  14. If a team is late starting arriving for the start of their match, they will lose one over from their batting innings for every three minutes lost in the match. This rule shall be strictly enforced whatever the circumstance, due to time limitation of bookings.
  15. The next batsman in shall umpire the square leg crease from the boundary wall adjacent
  16. The distance between the two stumps and creases will be the same as in a regular senior cricket match (22 yards). However, an additional crease 16 yards from the strikers crease will be marked. This will be the crease for the non striker, meaning a ‘run’ shall be completed by running 16 yards. Run out decisions at the non strikers crease shall be made by the standing umpire behind the non strikers stumps.
  1. Results
  2. The team scoring the most runs in an innings will be the winner
  3. If the teams are still equal, the match will be a tie
  4. In knockout matches, if the scores of both teams are equal, the team with the greatest number of wickets left shall be the winner
  5. If the match is still tied, a sudden death ‘bowl off’ will take place to decide the winner.
  1. Scoring
  2. A ball struck to hit the boundary wall behind the bowler without touching the floor or any other wall or ceiling shall be six runs. If the ball is struck under the same conditions as above but bounces before striking the wall, it shall be four runs.
  3. If a ball sticks in a fixture or fitting of some description for a delayed period or permanently, one run will be awarded and the ball will be considered dead.
  4. A ball struck that hits any other boundary wall, or the ceiling, will be considered one run.
  5. For every completed run the batsmen will score an additional one run.
  6. All extras – wides, no balls, byes and leg byes will be accredited to the striking batsman
  7. An overthrow hitting any wall shall count as one run, whichever wall it may hit.
  8. The last ball of the innings shall be worth double runs.
  1. Methods of dismissal
  2. All the normal dismissals contained in the laws of cricket shall apply, with the following variations
  3. The batsman shall be caught out by a fieldsman after the ball has hit the ceiling or any wall, except the boundary wall directly behind the bowler, provided the ball has not touched the floor prior to the ball being caught
  4. If the ball hits wickets following a deflection from the wall, and the batsman is out of his crease, it can only be given out if the ball has been touched by a member of the fielding team between the batsman striking the ball, and the ball hitting the stumps.
