EXPERIENCE
2001 – 2003 Baha'i' World Center Akko, Israel
1) Operations Manager for extensive world-class 105-acre gardens facility.
2) Responsible for everything other than plants in a 105-acre Gardens facility.
3) Increased reliability and efficiency of Motorola computer automated irrigations systems, resulting in better efficiencies of water use, much improved cost-benefit of system utilization, and improved viability of gardens.
4) Implemented new tools and upgraded techniques in machine equipment shop and automated irrigation systems boosting productivity and increased efficiency of operation.
5) Liased between many different departments in the Baha’i’ World Center and managed a team of six including Arab, Israeli, and Baha’i’ workers from around the world.
6) Implemented new safety guidelines to improving staff performance and absenteeism due to injuries.
7) Responsible for operation of seven vehicles, two tractors, and one Bobcat.

Accomplishment:
Irrigation
Repairing all Irrinet irrigation systems for proper operation including graphing capabilities, hardware modification of the three Irrinet boards for more reliable operation and water savings, automation of filter flushing capabilities, and a scheduled periodic cleaning and testing of systems. Designed and built a bench tester for solenoid and valve operation. Organized and labeled all irrigation headers valves and updated drawings for mechanical and software changes. Connection of system to telephone system for manual operation using phone line
Machine Shop
New equipment and tools purchase for more efficient repair environment. Introduced time saving tools and equipment to minimize on equipment down time and to expedite repair time. Worked with crew to train on basic repair on electric tools and equipment and organized a system of equipment and tools tracking. Trained gardens equipment users in safety and proper use of equipment. Implemented log sheets for tracking use and maintenance scheduling of garden machinery.
Major Responsibility:
1) Hire and fire of staff. Supervise 6 staff including both Baha’i’ and local workers.
2) Manage irrigation system teams including maintenance, repair, and scheduling of automated Motorola irrigation systems. Major responsibility includes troubleshooting system for proper operation. Trained new staff in Irrinet software systems.
3) Manage garage team for repairing and purchasing all garden machinery including lawn mowers, hedge and weed trimmers (gas and electric), tractors, and Bobcat. Major responsibility include ensuring correct repair and usage of machinery.
4) Manage six vehicles for legal operations, road safety, and repair, including a Bobcat and John Deere tractor.
5) Ensure the safety of all gardens staff and workers through established procedures and effective training in equipment and machine operation.
6) Negotiating and ordering all construction materials needed for gardens use such as gravel, sand, red crushed tiles, and any types of materials other than plants.
7) Construction of such things as needed for proper operations of gardens.
8) Coordinate with other departments for equipment and equipment repair, telephone connection and repair, and computer services such as were needed by staff and office.
9) Work closely with telecommunications and computer department for on-site connections of new phone lines or troubleshooting existing telephone of telephone lines.
10) Work with local contractors for delivery, negotiating purchase of new equipment, and related coordination of work.
11) Research and analyze new equipment or tools for use in irrigation and machine shop.
13) Update new irrigation lines and all construction using IntelliCAD and maintain all drawings.

Repaired microprocessor boards for geophysical 3-D CAD mapping of earth layer for oil exploration on land and/or sea. Included modifications of boards for systems that required specific tolerances due to external conditions.

Major Responsibility Included:
Worked with PC and UNIX platforms and setup of in house software used in SCADA systems. Included modifying existing software and minor system administrative and network systems configuration.
Accomplishments Included:
Installed radio telemetry and PLC interface for the City of Houston project. Worked on ACAD design of the Rochester project which included drawings and layout of site
incorporating GUI schemes.
